Range Help!

Featured Replies

I've got 61 range, and don't really like training it, but want to get to 70.

What would people suggest the best way is and what equipment should I use?

People will suggest Yaks.

These are boring, crowded, crowded, boring, and did I mention boring?

However, they are extremely good xp.

Other than this you can Range slay?

Also, fire giants is epic win.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

I would say either range slay like RayOxide suggested or just plain fire giants. Im not very high on my ranged level, but I ranged fire giants as a task for slayer, and it was really fast and gave me good drops. There's also a ton of safe spots in such a small area, so it makes for easy training \'

Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool

I killed Moss Giants to get to level 70. I used the spot NW of Ardougn. Hugging the rocks to use as a safe spot, I never needed to bring any food. I would go with Iron knives for a bit...then switched it up to Iron, or Steel arrows with Magic Short to ease the boredom. Its less exciting when there is no chance of them hitting you...LOL

If you can use King Lathas's Training Ground, and don't care about drops or retrieving ammo, then get a Bone CB & Bone Bolts and fire away. Ammo was very cheap when I bought last (4 gp / bolt), and Bone Crossbow gives decent Range boost and fires pretty quick.
