Quick Question- prayer training- ectofunctus or POH altars? Is it easy to find people with the highest level altars that are willing enough to help out? Is there a better way than either of these? Thanks in advance to all who contribute.

Curious as well. However, I think you're supposed to hire the altars.

I'd use the POH, it's way quicker than the ectofunctus, though ecto does give a little more xp (ecto gives 4 times the normal prayer bonus, gilded altar 3,5x)

 

 

 

And it's very easy to find an open gilded altar. This is because having people in your house makes you not have to load your house every time you get back there, which saves a lot of time while training prayer. For that reason a lot of prayer trainers have their house open for everyone while training.

 

If you want to find an open house, go to the official forums, and look in the 'events' part of the forums. You'll usually find 1-5 open gilded altar topics on the first page there (3 at this very moment).

I'd recommend the gilded altars in most cases. If you've been raiding coffins with the diseased Zogres then I would go for the ectofungus due to their massive experience, otherwise the speed of POH altars easily wins out. Open Houses are easy to find on the official forums on the weekends.

Be sure to make sure that both burners are lit though, the owner will make sure they are, so just wait till they light them before you use up your bones. Especially with dragon bones you can lose a lot of xp if you dont make sure that both burners are lit.

If you can't find one find on on the forums, you can just go to the Yannile house portal on the house party world, 31. There is always an open altar there.
