Danqazmlp
Anybody know approx how many casts this takes? Also, if possible the cost and time (at MM and rock lobs)? Also, is bursting rock lobs worth the slower exp for the charms? Are there any other fast ways of gettign mage exp with combat spells aswell? Want to be my friend? Italian5kamikaze
Around 50k, not sure about cost and time. EDIT: Should be around 88.5m, going by ge prices. Ill see if i can find out how long that would take as well, oh and yes the charms are worth the slower exp. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes. RayOxide
Combat mage is always a serious let down. The xp rate may be fast but thats only with ancients. But yeah bursting rock lobs is a win. May I suggest some non-combat? =D I dont need a siggy no moar.

RayOxide
Theres what like 50+ non-combat spells and you pick the worst one of all. :wall: Alching is a fail lmao. Lunar is a win. Dont alch. It's hell, and I think you know that with 95 mage ;) But doing some other random non cb is great. I dont need a siggy no moar.
Roberthree
you could try fire wave at iron dragons. might get a visage. 60K xp per hour iirc aswell.

Most i've ever done in non-combat mage training was 100 yew long alchs a few years back. I'm level 95 combat magic, i like the hp exp  And wow, 88m was alot steeper than i'd imagined, is that with hitting a single target however? Want to be my friend? Italian5kamikaze
Well I think its like 51k barrages or something, so I just said around 50k and that would be 88.5m. But no, thats not including how much exp you get from doing damage as well so you wont actually be using 50k barrages, you could maybe take it down to around 40k but im not sure. Also I think its about 1,770 gp a cast in case you were wondering. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.

Or maybe you made a typo and meant bursting. Sorry lol, but yeah, any idea on bursting? Does anybody know avg exp for say MM tunnels per cast or anything? Want to be my friend? RayOxide
If you've already gotten 95 magic via combat then your hp should be 99able before 99 atk/str/def if you havent got them already Why do the most wasteful way of 95+ mage when you can... TELEOTHER!? :XD: I dont need a siggy no moar.

TELEOTHER!? :XD: I'm confused :S But if that was 'why dont you have 99 hp ' then its probably because my str and range levels are fairly low, so i'm missing huge chunks of hp exp from them : Want to be my friend? RayOxide
Then get hp up with those. Especially if you think you'll get 99 if you can get those 2 up. Combat mage for hp xp is really only necessary if (IF) you want 99 untrimmed. I dont need a siggy no moar.
Danqazmlp
Oh, no no, i just meant that i like the hp exp on the side as a bonus. It feels really wasteful if i get exp, but no hp exp, when i can get both just as easily. Want to be my friend? RayOxide
I do know what you mean - I find it a waste and with high level spells you can easily get some nice xp. I've always thought of Charge-God Spelling some Iron/Steel dragons ;) Never got around to it since I hate them. If you = minigame king I hope you have a void mace for it :P I dont need a siggy no moar.
Zaaps1
I've always thought of Charge-God Spelling some Iron/Steel dragons ;) Never got around to it since I hate them. Ug, don't try it. Cost way too much for me. Pretty fun though, didn't have Void Mace so a lot of clicking :x If you do intend to Ice Burst, go to Rock Lobsters. ~It's Super Effective! Italian5kamikaze
Ahh sorry about that, dont know why I thought you said barraging. :) Anyways its a little under 68k bursts and thats not counting the exp you get from the damage you do but those would cost about 66.7m. Each spell is about 984gp. It should cost you around 40-50m, could be way off though 8-) Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes. Italian5kamikaze
Hmm, it actually might only cost around 30m or less because I just remembered each point of damage inflicted gives 2 magic exp, of course theres no way of telling how many times youll splash or how much damage youll hit with each spell so I cant really give you an accurate cost, or how many casts youll use. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.

Ffs why didn't I start bursting before... Well people tell me you get 230 crims per hour at lobbys. If you know the crimson charm drop rate, and the fact you use ~1k bursts per hour, I think you can find the hit:miss ratio, am I correct? ~It's Super Effective! ReapMe
those estimations are a bit high you'll get about 180k exp per 1k bursts (numbers from bursting 9 rock lobsters) so at your level you'll need 23k'ish bursts to get to 99 if you're bursting 9 monsters, roughly 24m What? Italian5kamikaze
Yeah Reap, your estimations better, I just wasnt sure how much exp you would get from inflicting damage, and if you can use 1k bursts an hour than I guess it will take around 25 hours, not sure how long it takes to bank. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.

Probably a very long time since you gotta go past almost all of Waterbirth and you'll need a suicider of some sort. ~It's Super Effective!
