November 21, 200817 yr hey is full guthans worth the price and does the special happen kinda of often i wanna know before i spend like 5 mil on the set any help will be greatly appreciated
November 21, 200817 yr It's...past it's day, but yes, it's very helpful for some sotuations, and the special is easily frequent enough to be a MAJOR help. Wether it's worth the cash or not depends on how much cash you have, and how much you want this healing effect. I'd be using guthans if i didn't have 68+ summ.
November 21, 200817 yr Doesnt look like youll be getting 68 summoning anytime soon so I would definitely recommend it. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.
November 21, 200817 yr Hello wolf. Some things to consider before you buy Guthans are: [*:3nhak37b] How often do you do/will you do activities which gives you a need for Guthans? [*:3nhak37b] How often will you use it? [*:3nhak37b] Do you have enough money to repair it as needed? I hope you will take the three questions above into consideration before/if you buy a set of Guthans. -Misery
November 21, 200817 yr If you have double the price for it.. or at a minimum 3m more than I would say go for it. As long as you are using it frequently I would say its worth its price. I have 68 summoning and still use my guthans. Bunyip heals good but sometimes not enough. As long as you are not standing in a multi zone and messaging friends with it on and not attacking anything then I would say you could make back the cost of repairs in the 15 hours you have. Also, when you do decide to repair look through the Runescape Official Forums for a house with an alter, join that persons CC or PM them and see if they have a repair stand you can use, usually if they have a guilded alter they have a repair stand also, and just about everyone is willing to show you where it is in their houses. (There houses get to be rather huge so finding it could take upward of 10 mins make sure to ask for help) That will cut the costs dependent on your smithing level. Apparently, my signature was to big.
November 21, 200817 yr It's a must for slayer at lower levels. But if you are not slaying then you're probably not going to be able to recoup the maintenance fee so it wouldn't be worth it. Even at level 130 I still use Guthans occasionally cos the Bunyip doesn't always heal as much as I need it too. Trust the Gene Genie!
November 21, 200817 yr I kinda completely disagree with you there cat. Lower level slayers dont need guthans since their tasks are easily finished without bother. Just takes a few runs. Tbh, with what I have I've never went to a task I have had to run off to get more food from. I've pretty much always needed to eat my food to make more room. :| I dont need a siggy no moar.
November 21, 200817 yr id say guthans is a must for anyone doin slayer yes u have to repair it but just try the cost of food for the same tasks or prayer pots deffo the cheaper choice
November 21, 200817 yr Guthan's set is a need for slaying at summ 68- imo, just buy it if you're slaying thought @santana_raphaelI'm retired from Runescape due to my really bad connection, maybe coming back soon

And it also depends on what slayer master they are using. To answer the original question, yes, it's worth it, because the defence you get from Guthan's is a freebie, alongside it's healing ability.

November 22, 200817 yr Alching herbs is bad Cat. :P Which is why I said I only bank Mithril Drags and Abby Spectres... Mithril Dragons I have to bank sometimes as I'm outghta supplies. Trust the Gene Genie!
November 22, 200817 yr If you slay alot I highly reccomend guthans. I never slay without them because well i hate to bank during tasks. Also it will save you time in fishing and $$$ from not needing to buy food. yes guthans is 4.4m but that's the beautiful thing. They used to be 13m back in the day.
December 2, 200817 yr Author thanks for the advice i finally bought my guthans and im loving it well worth it in my opinion
