Skill raising.

UnknownRemoval

Recommended Posts

Just as a sidenote, I have a problem with money that is opposite to many.

I can't spend it. :o

I want to (looking at my stats) know what skills I can raise now at a loss and profit greatly in the long run.

I have around 10M total to work with.

You might want to try a nice balanced goal of 60+ all or even 65+ all. If not I suggest training your prayer to 70 fore blessing graves and piety with guilded altar even if it does loss you some cash. You should train farming for sure if you do herbs it's always a profit. Your smithing is a bit low but thats easy to train and even some profit with cannon balls. Agility,Runecrafting,Hunter, and Thieving will also be easy to train and they arn't a money losing skill. Do construction if you want to spend the money if not it's not a big deal.

1) balanced goals are not what I asked

2) 70 Prayer will cost about 4M - Bringing my total to 6M (and won't have sudden profit increase, so in time yes)

3) Farming I am doing just now

4) Smithing I can last about 5 minutes at, it's been at that level for four years.

5) Agility has no sudden profit increase for time spent (run energy does not count)

6) Runecrafting I do occasionally, but cannot stick at it

7) Any tips for hunting, I find salamanders/falconry tedious.

8) Thieving = Pyramid Plunder = Quests = No

9) Construction I seriously want to do, but it has high losses.

What skills (such as herblore etc.) have profitable items with easy to get supplies and such?

Ohai again nubcake. :twss:

Crafting, hunter, Runecrafting and thieving.

1 is costly, so it can drop your cash pile.

2 gets great money, and quickish too, so that'd help,

3 gets even better money but levels very slow.

4 is pretty much a boredom breaker.

You should set a goal of 66 hunter. That's on I have but cbf getting :P

Also, to gain more money just farming some herbs = win. Just check every 70 mins (5 mins for the time to run there) and nice profit.

Also, with this 10m I suggest 60, or 70 prayer. Either way they help in the long run.

After reading that post.. You should just get 55 con and stop there.

Imo, a good way to prevent boredom would be raising a skill for an hour, checking herbs, then doing a different one for another hour.

You could probably make most of your money back from prayer quick if you do some herb farming and hunter or runecrafting.

Also, King, smithing is one epic skill. ;)

P.S. Doesnt matter if you asked for balanced skills - In experienced peoples opinions, having 60+ every skill is a very realistic way of deciding what you want to do later on in your career.

Like which 99s. ;)

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Hunting, I would enjoy it once I don't need to drop my damn inventory every 15 seconds.

Runecrafting I do occasionally for a few hundred k.

Theiving I find tedious. :o

I do herbs and check them every 3 hours or so, since I hate running back and forth so much.

Prayer I shall get to 70 once I make another few M.

But the thing is balanced goals is a nice way to get some total levels and maybe find a new thing you like. For hunter I'd do orange salamanders they are very fast and not too tedious. Thieving you could always so the garden instead it only requires Prince Ali resque quest.

I'd say what others have said and agree that farming is a skill that could earn you a lot. As you are asking what you can spend much money on, this is one such skill.

Rather than just doing herbs, plant a few trees and fruit trees. The seeds cost a fair bit to buy, but you get a whopping amount of xp for checking the health of fully grown trees, and that'll soon bump your farm level up.

Also plant the highest thing that you can in your allotments.

I couldn't used to stand farming, found it tedious, but once i used this method i got from about 30-55 in a short amount of time. It is the best way in my opinion if you can afford the seeds. Plus the herbs pay back some as you go, and pay much better at higher levels.

So as you have the cash just go all out on it for a while.

Orange Salamanders I have tried around 10 times, I can catch about four or five before I give up and leave.

Prayer and construction will leave me with about 5M left, so not yet.

Farming, I do herbs and the fruit trees, gave up on allotments because they annoyed me.

Just like to point out, if you do watermelons now then it helps you out at later levels. Some may die, but the ones that don't can be composted for supercompost and your herbs have a much lower chance of dying. :)

I like the speed of experience at Falconry, but I can't stand dropping 28 items every minute or so.

Also, the 10M was everything. Since I always sell what I don't use. So the prayer would limit me down to 6M in armour, and for that...

Then you don't have too much money :P

I always make sure I keep a 10mil buffer.
