Stay unbored and releasing tension when mining?!?!

Featured Replies

Im f2p, and i want to raise my mining to 70 from 65. The best way would be to powermine iron at the desert mine in al kharid.

Mining is the most BORING and TIRING skill to train, cuz u need to constantly click it.

When fishing or wc, i just have half homework (word document) and half runescape on the screen. BUt i cant do this for mining.

You guys have any other ways to release the tension of my hands and stop boredom?!?

Im sure ill burn out pretty quickly when mining.

You could mix it up by superheating on Crandor, whilst training range at the moss giants when you're bored. This isn't fast exp when mining, but it isn't constant clicking so you could afk it for a but and watch youtube vids.

This is what i did when i was f2p, and it worked pretty well for me - iron was such so annoying as i didn't have the concentration span or patience.

Thank you to tripsis for an awesome sig!

yup.. its like that for mining.. and for firemaking too. you just gotta click click & click.

I sympathise with you wholly.

Watch a tv show whilst you mine, and DONT LOOK AT YOUR XP. EVER. Just mine, don't think about xp, or levels, just mine. Or you'll get annoyed at how mind numbingly slow and stupid it is.

To be honest there is nothing really you can do. Just gotta suck it up and get it done. That way you can move onto the next task. I know it doesn't really help a great deal but its the truth.

I mean the best thing to do would be music since it doesn't divert your attention to much. Just start playing an album and when its over you know about an hour has gone by. Rinse. Repeat.

Apparently, my signature was to big.

my brother got mining 85 watched anime while powermining iron in al kahrid.

he just had half anime and half runescape in the screen..

he mined 3 iron ores then drop them all..

your inventory should look this:

X J J J

X J J J

X J J J

X for iron, and J for junk... you could drop all the iron in a sec or so...

Good Luck

Just get some breaks, then you won't get bored that easily.

I'm aiming for 99 mining at f2p, but i'm not powermining all the way, i'm also mining coal at the guild *which is a nice way to make cash at f2p* and going to rc guild to break the boredom of wielding a pickaxe.

That's how i don't get bored of mining so often.

@santana_raphael

I'm retired from Runescape due to my really bad connection, maybe coming back soon

Take breaks with minigames every 100-200 you mine (no, seriously). Also making mith bars at the mining guild is good cash even w/ superheat. IT's not as good xp as mining iron, but it's good cash.

Also, if you've been at it for over an hour, or your hand or wrist starts to hurt, take a break! Go do something else not on the computer that doesn't involve clicking, at least for a couple minutes, to give your nerves a rest and help prevent injury.
