Kalphite Queen ~ Ranging

As a man who both loves soloing monsters and wishing for a lovely dragon chainbody, I was curious to know if ranging the Kalphite Queen through both of her prayer stages is an effective way to solo her. With my low attack (82) and whip being my only melee weapon, I hardly manage to land a melee hit on her.

 

Any thoughts?

Verac's armor set is considered the best for fighting the Queen, since the special effect has a chance to ignore prayer and defence bonuses.

If I remember right, doesn't she have a range protect stage? Not sure if I'm right, but I agree, Verac's set would help a lot more than range.

1) Her range prayer blocks only 40% or so of the attack, much like player prayers, so you can damage her.

 

2) I don't really like Verac's, but I suppose I could use it. My melees aren't as good as my range though. 82 attack, 87 strength, but 97 Range

I imagine you'd do better ranging her in that case.

 

 

 

I wouldn't bother unless you have some decent gear though; dfs highly reccomended.

her second form can be ranged easily, the first form's mage/range prayer implies high mage/range defense. not protection from mage/range. it's possible though

do diamond bolts hit through prayer? or just armor?

Just armor.

You could probably do it with ruby e bolts and diamond e after shes low on hp.
