pureprayer
Thread Re-opened The Best way is mining and banking whatever you want (gold, mith, addy [when you get the level] or a combination of both like mining gold while you wait for mith to spawn) Do this in a full world at the Al-karid mines, this is time consuming and not very boring it is a break on granite or iron power mining. REMEMBER BANKING AND TO BE ON A FULL WORLD. Pureprayer, you're awesome.
Roberthree
doing anything besides powermining granite will take you an eon.
pureprayer
Its for a break and an option for f2p. I am offering a truce so we don't get into any stooped argument. Pureprayer, you're awesome.
Master_Smither
Personally I'd do coal or gold(at crafting guild) just for the profit and smithing XP which you can get with it later on. You could always take a break from it and power mine granite if you want. doing anything besides powermining granite will take you an eon. Nope I know a guy who did with with pess and gold ore in under 3 months. Click for My Blog670th to 99 Smithing July 21st, 07 |743rd to 99 Mining November 29th, 07 | 649th to 99 Runecrafting May 18th, 08 | 29,050th to 99 Defence October 20th, 08 | 20,700th to 99 Magic November 8, 08 | 47,938th to 99 Attack December 19, 08 | 37,829th to 99 Hitpoints December 24, 08 | 68,604th to 99 Strength February 4, 09 | 27,983rd to 99 Range February 9, 09 | 9,725th to 99 Prayer June 8, 09 | 6,620th to 99 Slayer December, 12 09 | 4,075th to 99 Summoning December, 28 09 | 3,551th to 99 Herblore February 24, 10 | 3,192th to 99 Dungeoneering November 11, 10 | 146,600th to 99 Cooking December 29th, 10 | 11,333rd to 99 Construction June 7th, 11 | 16,648th to 99 Farming August 1st, 11 | 19,993th to 99 Crafting August 2nd, 11 | 89,739th to 99 Woodcutting Janurary 1st, 12 | 55,424th to 99 Fishing May 9th, 12| 60,648th to 99 Firemaking May 12th, 12 | 16666th to 99 Agility May 17th, 2012 | 24476th to 99 Hunter June 1st, 2012 | 57,881st to 99 Fletching June 1st, 2012 | All 99s June 1st, 2012 | 3183th to 120 Dungeoneering July 24th, 2012 | 2341st to 2496 Total level July 24th, 2012 | Completionist Cape July 24th, 2012

Eddo89
I think the 3 month example is off, people always claim about the short amount of time. If the guy spends 12 hours a day on average on it, and topic creator spends 1 hour per week, this means he will get 99 in 36 months. There is a difference. Achieving it in 3 months does not mean pure ess is faster than granite or that it is indeed a fast form of mining, which this topic asks for. As mentioned above, granite and full world iron for F2P is fastest way. Forget about coal, is slower to mine than iron and worth not much more. Gold is always a good option for cash, but ideally only do it if you are P2P as the lack of gold ores in F2P would mean you would be competing for ores a bit too often. Plus the Abyssal Titan makes pure ess mining even faster. Also Star Hunting is great XP. Join a clan though. Trust the Gene Genie!
RayOxide
Ok I'll list some things. Powermining: Granite > Iron Money: Pure Essence > Gold1 > Gold2 > Coal* Mix: Gold2 + Tzhaar > Granite > Coal > Pure Essence** Smithing: Mithril + Coal > Iron + Coal > Gold *Gold1 is at the Gold rock spawns in Brimhaven, using a house and a mounted glory, (House tele, mine, glory -> edge, repeat) *Gold2 is at the Tzhaar - 2/3 spawns inside and 4 outside. Close to a bank but spawn is slower. Silver ore is also there. **Mix - Meaning you get xp and cash at a decent rate together. Gold2 + Tzhaar is mining gold in and outside Tzhaar and mining other ores and banking/dropping (banking is better) while waiting for spawns. Hope that helped? I dont need a siggy no moar.
