With today's economy, 100 deaths VS herbs

Featured Replies

Remember all the "little things" you used to do to make money like raise kittens to cats for deaths or collect herb drops from other players? I spend too much on barrage runes and I'm trying to make it back - but with my current slayer task, Hellhounds, there's not really much to earn unless I get good clue drops. So which would I earn more little money off? Using a Macaw to forage herbs, or raising a kitten?

Well, the herbs you get from the macaw are random. How long does it take for a kitten to grow?(4 hours?)

I'd say use macaw, because 100 death runes are somewhat cheap and good herbs(snap, ranarrs) are expensive.

Gotta be a kitten as macaws don't work in dungeons.

Macaws are terrible foragers. I've gone whole pouches without foraging a single herb. Then again, kittens are also terribly slow. Might I recommend a magpie?

You shhould only use macaws on tasks that have high herb droppers, such as turoths/specters, otherwise, raising a kitten would be better.

You need to be outside for it to forage.

So if your slaying in a dungeon, they wont get you anything.

Do you mean higher level herbs? Then what good would a macaw be?

EDIT: Nevermind, dumb question answered.

You're thinking of the herbcall, I bet.

Same with foraging too I found. The only thing which worked inside was the better herb thing. Which tbh is pointless when you could have a terrorbird and have 12 extras.
