Random drops from random events

What exactly do you suggest?

 

 

 

Also, may I point out random events aren't made for fighting but as a deterrent to autoing or afking. I think giving them good drops defeats this point.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here here. The drops are just an incentive for those who are not autoing, in case they feel like killing the shade, watchman, etc., for a possible nice item.

By adding drops it would not create a disadvantage to autoers. That is because normal people would have the insentive to fight it for the loot, and autoers would just fight it like normal. Thus making a lack of difference between the two. Meaning it would not discourage autoers as effectively.

i got half key from mysterious man before

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

a rune axe from tree sprit

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and shade robes from shades,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

zombies bleh bait

best i get are nature runes from tree spirits and one time I got a nice batch of big and normal bones from a zombie :D

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Some random events like golems and river trolls do need some better drops though :!:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maybe dwarfs could give out something else besides a kebab and beer also...

whenever i get them.. i onli kill spirits and golem..

 

 

 

all i get is Nats (22x) as for golem so far.. they are just earth runes..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

anyone get other loots from golem other than runes?

Sorry, but no, they don't "need" better drops. The random event, as we have already said, is primarily meant to stop autoers. Any drops you might get from killing a zombie, golem, shade, etc., are just a bonus. And, that's if you choose to kill it. You may just assume you'll get nothing good, which is most of the time, and just walk/run away for 5 seconds.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And finally, why do you think you only gain 1 xp for each accurate attack you make during a random event, regardless of how much damage it does? It's because if it were an autoer, JAGeX does not want to give any cheap xp to an autoer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyways, I don't mean to be so harsh, but if you want good drops, there are TONS of monsters and NPCs out there. Go get em :)

You can get all ores (i have gotten up to addy, dont know about rune) and all pics. I once got many big bones for zombie, dont remember how amny, had to be over 10 tho. Tehy need to make swarms killable, and have them drop honey comb, for farming!!

to kill a random event, it should be enough above your level to make sure you always need to eat a little food or turn on protect melee to avoid dieing.

 

 

 

autoers dont do that, they just mine/woodcut or do any non combat skill 24/7.

 

 

 

so if you would always die fighting it without eating/praying/running away/using a spec. attack, then all autoers would die :twisted: . wich is good. then they could have better drops (and perhaps normal xp)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

PS: when u say random drops, i hope you didnt mean totally random drops, because a lvl 16 tree spirit dropping a dragon chain would be a tad unfair to those killing KQ's or 10 000's of dust devils.
