This will cost me 46M if I buy leathers, and 25M if I buy hides and tan. If I buy leathers, how many hours do I save? Thanks.

I wouldn't be able to tell you, but with most things i do i do a little 5 minute experiment.

 

 

 

I suggest spending 5 minutes tanning hides and see how long it takes you, then divide the amount of hides you did in 5 minutes into how many you actually need for 99 then that should show you how much time you're going to waste.

 

 

 

I'm also going for 99 crafting - the air battlestaffs way. I suggest you buy a constant supply of air orbs, with a low offer on battlestaffs on the grand exchange whilst buying max amount of battlestaffs at Zaff's - you will break even, may even profit!

tanning takes up quite alot of time.. you can do about 3/4 of an inventory of leather in the time it takes to run and gets the hides tanned.

Tan your hides. As you are walking back from the tanner to the bank, start crafting your bodies now. By the time you get to the bank you should be done crafting your bodies if I remember correctly.

I've just started working on this goal aswell (yesturday), I'm just buying the leathers so I save a load of time...

 

 

 

I couldn't tell you how much time I will save but I will just make the money that I will buying the leathers In the time I would have wasted tanning the hides...
