December 12, 200817 yr With a pixel. Hopefully this will end up in a sig at some point (not a pixel sig... I'm not totally sure what I'm going to do yet) So this would be V1, no shading yet, just the main colors and outline finished: He's supposed to be juggling, hopefully that's apparent? I might add in some 'action lines' or something like that later. ...He's also leaning... Because I drew this, scanned it, and pixelated it... And my drawings slant to the left because I'm right-handed... Will fix that in next version. Alright, version 2. Just shading, I've decided that in my next pixel I'll work on the pose more, for now I'm focusing on shading. (since I have eight million layers, I'll rotate him when I'm done) [hide=@ 400%] By hawkxs at 2008-12-13[/hide] sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
December 12, 200817 yr Better (at least I think so). The colours are a definite improvement from last time. The arms and face look a little odd, but those will probably be fixed by shading. My only complaint is that you're basing it off runescape a little too much it seems, which takes away from the quality. Not too bad though. I want to see you keep working on it. :) [bleep] the law, they can eat my dick that's word to Pimp
December 12, 200817 yr Forearms are approximately waist height and parallel with each other when juggling.
December 12, 200817 yr Author Forearms are approximately waist height and parallel with each other when juggling. Meaning I've got his hands up too high? I was trying the pose and it seemed to me that where his hands are is about right... I was having a bit of an issue with his face... Basing it off of RS screenshots (bad idea, I know) and the hair looks weird when there's a hat on it... I'm not really sure yet, I think I'm going to add more hair behind his head, if that makes sense. sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
December 13, 200817 yr Too high and too close together. Put your hands out like you're carrying a stack of firewood or something. That's where they should be. Trust me, it's hard to catch a ball going in an outward arc when you hands are clutched to your chest.
December 13, 200817 yr It's definately an improvement. The colors are better, but could still use a bit of work. Try not to make such bright, inconsistant colors. The anatomy is off. The arms aren't proportioned correctly, the head is too small, the shoulders aren't right, and the legs would use a bit of adjustment. Getting better. :
December 13, 200817 yr ^Grasle took the words out of my mouth. You are getting better :P 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
December 13, 200817 yr Author Now I get what Nom's saying; I have issues drawing arms foreshortened like that... Yeah, I need to work on that. Added version 2, which is basically shading. Also, I think adding the scarf caused some problems, I couldn't get it to drape right over his shoulders and wrap around his neck. sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
December 13, 200817 yr Take the scarf away then ^ If it's an obstacle that will impede your work, remove it, then add it later when you feel you've perfected the rest of the body. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
December 14, 200817 yr The shading looks like there is multiple light sources... [hide=][/hide] arrows show where light is coming from different colours show different sources Other than that it looks great i wish i cud pixel hawt like dat.
December 14, 200817 yr Author ^ I'm not totally sure about the shading... (I suck at it) But I think I was going for somewhere above the guy?... And then where natural light would give shadows (the edges of things... like on the shirt sleeves...) I dunno, someone good at pixeling help with a light source please? sig by Soa.....tip.it times.....art & mediadeviantart/flickr/last.fm/steam/twitter/tumblr/youtube
