December 13, 200817 yr i was wondering what the best set up is for soloing kbd, cause i want a kbd head in my house. if any have gotten it what is the drop rate for it?
December 13, 200817 yr I use Neitiznot Proselyte Top Proselyte Legs Barrow Gloves Skillcape(t) Dragon Boots Ring of Wealth (just for vis chances) Amulet of Glory <-- always afraid of dying, haha :P Antidragon Shield Whip Inv: 2 Super Attack Potions 2 Antifire 1 Super Antipoison 6 Prayer Potions (I use piety occasionally) Telly tab Rest Pineapple Pizzas. I got 5 in 330 kills Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning
December 13, 200817 yr I solo the KBD when getting Black Dragon Slayer task & wear:- Slayer Helm Fury Veracs Body & Skirt Barrows Gloves Dragon Boots Ring of Wealth DFS Trimmed Skill cape Whip DD++ Inventory 3 4 Dose Anti Fire Pots 4 4 Dose Pray Pots 1 Super Strength Pot 1 Super Attack Pot 1 Super Anti Pot Fill Terrorbird or Tortoise with Sharks or Pineapple Pizzas. Probably not the best set-up, but it works for me. I've killed 187 KBD's & have had 2 Head drops/
December 13, 200817 yr my personal opinion is its not worth soloing without a lava titan. with a titan i get 4-8 kills a trip (fairly random i find) but I can bank and be back at kbd in less then a minute. December 13, 200817 yr You can get back up there just as fast with lunar/ancients and high mage. Other question - other than for his heads, is he worth killing? It seems he doesn't drop enough worthwhile stuff to be worth the hassle of killing him. Unless he drops charms every time - what color do you get most often from him? Cause I get 8-10 kills/trip (almost never get under 8 kills) with war tortoise, using karil's top and skirt and monks. Indeed I have slayer hem (only solo at slayer tasks) but on the other hand I'm not using any stat boosting prayers (exept piety when doing dds specs).
December 13, 200817 yr I just take 1 super set, 1 super anti, 1 antifire pot, 2 pray pots. Then lummy teletabs (house works fine too) then a dueling ring. Rest of inv is pineapple pizzas. I prayed piety/mage the whole time.. After im out of pizzas, i tele to lummy restore pray, dueling ring to bank. Grab new pots/food lava titan tele back to kbd and continue. (not the most cost efficient, but it IS fun) I bank every single d bone/hide most drops. The set up I used was: Slayer helm Fury Trimmed cape Bandos Chest Bandos Tassets D boots Barrows gloves Zerker ring SGS Whip and defender failed badly compared to SGS so whip and dfs fails even more. Zammy spear does decent. With mage pray and antifire pot you are fine. And 4-5 hitting the kbd is fun too (with that set up I have hit many 64s with sgs) the spec is nice to heal too. I could easily get more kills a trip if i Prayed melee and used a dfs, but its slower kills, so I opt not to do that.
