Evil_Sabre
So I need to save a term paper to a cd, I inserted the cd but when I went to save it in the drive it says I do not have access to that folder and I need to ask my administrator. The account I'm using is the administrator though......gah I hate computers.
Wongtong
You've got a CD-Writer (like it can burn stuff onto cds) right? It should've come with a CD (eg NeroEssentials) that helps you burn stuff onto CDs. I'm not sure if you can do it any other way. o.o 8,180WONGTONG IS THE BEST AND IS MORE SUPERIOR THAN ME#1 Wongtong stalker.Im looking for some No Limit soldiers! sloter
You can use just the OS to burn it or use like Infra Recorder or Img Burn to burn your disc. Are you sure you have a cd or dvd burner?
Makoto_the_Phoenix
Is it absolutely pressing that it be strictly saved to a CD? I'm thinking of taking the path of lesser resistance here, and have you e-mail the file to yourself, so that it gets to wherever you have access to the Internet. An even better (and quicker) option would be a flash drive, but that's just me. There's at least two possibilities here as far as the problem goes. Either the disk you have already has bogus data on it (and it can't be read), or the drive that you're using isn't a CD-R. Can you tell us what type of drive it is? If it's the first, then simply get a fresh disc and try again. If it's the latter, you're probably stuck e-mailing it or carrying it on a flash drive. Now a days you can get them cheap.

There's also a Sandisk 4GB I can get for $10 around here, brand new, but I already paid for one $45 last year haha.
BlueLancer
If it's really urgent (talking about hours/1 day), rather than trying to quickly fix a problem that could have multiple causes, in your position I'd take the above advice & go and buy a small USB drive, maybe 1GB. They're constantly on sale for $3-$5 dollars. Alternatively, upload it to any of the thousands of instant no-registration file sharing sites like http://www.2shared.com, take down the address & download it at school (or if you wrote it in school, download it at home later)
