folmer_veeman
Since a couple weeks (I think eversince I ran my CCleaner scan) runescape doesn't work for me anymore, and java seems to be the problem, but i've updated it, redownloaded it and all possible things I could think of. Anyone has experience with this?

folmer_veeman
Internet explorer, windows vista (sp 0 because with 1 my computer is VERY slow) This comes up [hide=spoiler (not really)]It seems like Java is not installed on your computer Java is a free download that is required to play RuneScape. Click here to install Java. If you believe you already have Java installed then you might get this message if it is disabled. Click here for instructions on enabling Java.[/hide] while I've reinstalled it like 5 times and did the troubleshooting thingy everytime :wall:
The Observer
Can you load Funorb at all?
Arixe
You might try installing another browser and see if it works. If that doesn't work, I would try a complete reinstall of Java (completely removing every trace of it), several tutorials on google. Simply search "completely uninstalling java vista" or something like that. And make sure the tutorial you choose to follow is for Vista.
folmer_veeman
Funorbdoesn't work either and I've already removed java several times. I'm looking to solve the problem, not circumvent it so I'm not gonna try another browser.
Arixe
Edit: In Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab>Scroll down till you see Java (Sun), make sure there is a checkmark for Use JRE x.x.x_xx for (requires restart)> click apply, then ok>Try runescape Using the above I was able to recreate the error you were getting in Internet Explorer with it saying Java not installed, and rechecking it fixed it. That was done under XP though so the process might be slightly different for Vista (sorry don't have access to a Vista computer)
Dracion1
Make sure you've got the latest version of IE. Also, have you scanned your PC to make sure you haven't got any malware? If so, what do you use? (Tbh though another browser such as Firefox would probably be the best way to get around this. You can even make it look exactly like IE if you really want.) folmer_veeman
For some reason it doesn't appear there, while I'm 100% sure it's on my computer, and I've reinstalled it several times and it never showed up.. Maybe more than just a java problem?
