ghoulmeister
I just downloaded firefox, and noticed that it did not have a tab system like IE. So i tried to open another window, to no avail. I got the loading icon in place of my cursor, then it dissappeared and I did not get another window. Also, when I tried to log on to tip.it, everything would run just fine, until I hit log in. Then, once I went to any page on the forum, I would be logged out. The process repeated until I closed firefox and opened IE. Any solution to these? And, in case it matters, I imported all cookies and such from IE to Firefox. Sbrideau
I would try a reinstall, it's not normal you had those problems (exept if you chose costum install, then maybe you messed up something). Are you sure it does not have a tab system? It always has, and you can check by using either the ctrl + t keys or clicking file and open new tab. ghoulmeister
Ok, didn't realize the control t shortcut, that got tabs to work. I'll try a reinstall, is there a link on the file? Ouchy
Right click by the top bar so you get a little drop down menu, and click "Customise". There, look, and drag the Tab Icon where you want it to be placed by the other icons. You can also change and remove other things you do/don't want too. So, don't re-install. ~Ouchy My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
ghoulmeister
Tabs are fixed, but reinstallation did not solve my logging in problem. I will log in, and it will ask me to return to the board index. Any link i click on will automatically log me out. I have tried everything, going to a different site, clicking on user control panel, if I go to a different site, it will make me log back in and I am stuck in the same process. If I click on user control panel, it will ask me to log in, over and over. I think maybe cookies are affecting this. Every time I visit the forum with firefox, it marks all topics as read. Ouchy
That weird...Although something similar happens to me on Bebo, where I post a comment then I Log Out. Very frustrating! Have you set up Firefox so that your Web History is deleted each time you close Firefox? That could potentially cause it... ~Ouchy My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages. ghoulmeister
Ok, I'll check that out, but things just keep getting worse... now IE is frequently crashing, sometimes not even when I have firefox on in the background. I think I need to get spybot and check out my computer... #-o How do you change that setting? Ouchy
Tools -> Options -> Privacy. The last box you can check should be "Delete my history after I close Firefox", or something along those lines. If it's checked, un-check it. And I would definitely scan your computer. ~Ouchy My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages. ghoulmeister
That didn't do it. I'll scan my comp using Norton, but I haven't renewed, so it may not pick up anything that's happening. Ouchy
It should pick up everything, or not work at all. If it doesn't work, there are various free alternatives that work well. I'm not sure of any off the top of my head, but I'm sure others on this board can help you. ~Ouchy My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. ghoulmeister
It works, it just doesn't update to pick up new versions of viruses, etc. I'll run it now i guess. Kidd_Varrow
I managed to fix my login problem by going to Tools->Clear Private Data and checking all the boxes. See if that works for you.
Sbrideau
Lol Norton? #-o Get a good antivirus, I will only name some good free antivirus, like Avira Antivir or Avast!. Norton is just crap and will not give such good results, even if it was updated it wouldn't, and removing it will free up A LOT of computer resources. How do you know Norton isn't that great anyway? Personal experiences, or what you heard? When I used to have Norton (Swapped because it was cheaper if we were on one Anti Virus), it worked to perfection. ~Ouchy My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Removed Norton for Kaspersky that year, computer was twice as fast and Kaspersky detected at least 10 viruses. My computer is still a dual core haha, but has 4GB of Ram and I would only be interested on how much Norton would slow it down with that amount of RAM. Oh, and I was on Windows XP at the time, and now I'm on Vista.
darkblade986
If you haven't fixed your log in problem yet, then double-check that you allow Tip.It to add cookies. Go to Tools -> Options -> Privacy, and either click "Accept cookies from sites" so that it's checked, or click "Exceptions," type "tip.it" and click Allow. Also, whether you let Mozilla save history should have no affect. Ever since I got Mozilla, I've had history turned off (unchecked, not just set to 0 days) and I've yet to have a problem with it. don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat

I have norton doesn't work that well, of course, anything that comes packeged with Vista is bound to fail... :wall: EDIT: Problem solved, clearing private data works wonders.
