The second grandmaster quest

Where guthix sleeps :

 

 

 

start point : legends guild talking to a new npc who would tell you that they discovered the whereabouts of lucien after he went into hiding

 

 

 

quests required : while guthix sleeps ( and all available quest points to date )

 

 

 

skills required : 75 defense 75 attack and 80 hitpoints , 85 mining , 50 agility , 65 magic , 55 crafting

 

 

 

the new taskmaster explains that lucien has concealed himself in an elven city , and is begining to prepare for his war against the gods themselves . His ascent to godhood must be stopped , but to get into the city of course you must prove to the elves your worthy .

 

 

 

- chapter 1 -

 

 

 

As you arive outside of the gates an npc ( i need names and such ) will stop you and ask your buisness , of course he wont believe a human got into the city he will ask you to take a strange crystal he found to the wise old man and in return for this favor he would escort you into the city , however the crystal isnt what it seems .

 

 

 

the wise old man explains once he sees it that this gem is of a zamorakian nature , a rare and powerful artifact of the third age . He tells you to use a chisel on it , when you do that you enter a cutscene with some funny dialog and an argument between zamorak and guthix . you now will learn this gem is a key to a door hidden by ice , but theres another part to the key you dont have yet .

 

 

 

the old man gives you a note for the gaurd but if you try to read it a message will appear ' you have no buisness reading other peoples mail '

 

as you travel back to the elven lands and gain acess to the city a cutscene will occur with lucien and the old man ( diologe here )

 

 

 

Lucien : i see that saradomin has gifted you with immortality

 

old man : what is it you want , to do battle

 

lucien : your a threat its as simple as that , guthix is stirring from his sleep and i neednt any more people in my way

 

old man : and you dont take ( your guys name ) as a threat , after all his body reacted more strongly than yours to the stone didnt it ?

 

( lucien poofs away of course after getting owned by that comment and knowing the old man wasnt much of a fighter anymore )

 

 

 

- in the city of crystal -

 

 

 

after being introduced to the king he will ask a favor of you , get the cook of lumbridge to make him a ' special ' birthday cake , if you can do this he will give you an odd staff he found and tell you a story

 

 

 

off to lummy we go

 

 

 

- chapter 2 -

 

 

 

after talking to the cook and being annoyed by him about how its impossible as his stove is broken and the only thing that can fix it is a rare ore made into a bar , you will offer to help him out .

 

 

 

he shows you the miningspot however , its heavily gaurded by a goliath mammoth ( lv 250 ) and his underlings . you must of course deal with them in this multi combat zone , the mammoth hits into the low 40s with melee and his minions hit with range for up to 10 damage . If you can survive the fact that this large monster hits faster than longsword speed , you will be able to mine the red ore and smelt it down there in a furnace .. after you go up a cutscene triggers and the mine implodes .

 

 

 

the bar and ore are a rare radinite that is the only thing that can fix his stove , now that thats done he can bake the cake . he just needs a special ingredient .

 

 

 

the cook will send you off to drynor to fetch something from martin the master gardener , along the way you will spout something about feeling watched and a cutscene will trigger ( u cant tele there you have to walk to trigger it ) , lucien spying on you from afar and wondering what exactly your up to .

 

 

 

after you get the item from the gardener ( turns out its some kind of cooking greese made from pigs -,- ) , head back and find that the cook is talking with two shady men who dissapear after a short chat with the cook .

 

 

 

you give him the item and after a funny kitchen humor based scene he makes and gives you ' the good stuff ' and a cake , he says the good stuff is a special drink he was informed to make .

 

 

 

so yep haul tail back to the elven city to deliver the goods , your also informed a strange man mumbleing about a stone was seen leaving the city . He also left a letter adressed to you , you deliver the goods to the king and in return gain acess to his city any time as well as the staff they found . ( i wrote the cutscene here myself )

 

 

 

- fade in to a pure white and empty room -

 

 

 

you : where am i

 

voice 1 : brother .. wake

 

you : what

 

voice 2 : brother .. are you alive

 

voice 3 : we miss you brother

 

you : i dont understand .. im not your

 

the voices 3 : you will understand soon .. open the door to the stronhold of our lord .

 

 

 

- fade out with you commenting on wierdness -

 

 

 

- chap three -

 

 

 

as you read the letter you find out lucien is in canfis and wants to do battle with you , time for some fun

 

 

 

recomended - alot of food and some potions

 

 

 

required - the white stone and black staff youve aquired

 

 

 

- as you arrive you find the entire city is naught but a crater in the ground and that the wherewolves are in formation .. also lucien hacks because the area is now multi combat -

 

 

 

lucien lets a quiet snicker out and calls you all kinds of fool ( and noob once ) , thinking he would in any way fight fair .

 

 

 

the staff makes its way from your bag and triggers a scene

 

 

 

lucien : thats * wide eyed *

 

you : what

 

lucien : so your trying to wake him , you have the stone as well then

 

you : the stone * shines and also comes out infront of you *

 

lucien : * evil laugh * so your still helping me ( if you picked evil path )

 

lucien : * snicker * waking him will serve in my goal .. ill allow you to live for now

 

 

 

- either way he hauls it and in your mind an immage of the gwd door flashes -

 

 

 

so of course its time to head there

 

 

 

items needed : stone , staff , anti agression gear , hammer , chisel

 

 

 

your attempts to at first open the door are futile even with the staff in the stone , a message will appear ' balance is the key '

 

 

 

you must get the following

 

 

 

20 zamorak kills

 

20 bandos kills

 

20 arma kills

 

20 sara kills

 

 

 

the ice on the door will crack , use a hammer and chizel to scrape the ice off .

 

 

 

on the door you will find a hole shaped like a staff with a stone on top .. use the stone with the staff and then use it with the door . a message will appear

 

 

 

'' the entire area shakes as the huge metal door draws you and only you in ''

 

 

 

the area is crystaline and pure no monsters seem to be there , peaceful almost .. you will find the staff in your invent ( keep it you will need it ) has name ' strange staff '

 

 

 

as you trek further in you will find the door to a boss room .. dont worry theres no boss ( yet ) , enter to find .. only a mirror

 

 

 

as you look in the mirror a cutsene will trigger

 

 

 

you : wow its a pretty mirror

 

* something slowly emerges from it *

 

you : what in the

 

* a woman in pure white and a woman in pure black as well as a man in grey *

 

you : who are you three

 

man : we are the emesaries of balance .. are you our brother

 

( text choice of yes or now varies their next line )

 

yes - its good to have you back brother .. we have waited

 

no - its a shame .. we ever do miss him

 

- afterwards you are led into a cutscene where they float around you - ( either way )

 

 

 

woman in white - balance needs to be restored would you not agree

 

you : i do agree ( if you say no she keeps asking you )

 

woman in black - but if you interfere the edics will be lost

 

you : no not really ( if you say yes she keeps saying it )

 

man : will you fight lucien

 

you : yes ( auto response )

 

 

 

man : then we will assist you .. but first you must be ready .. take this shard of our mirror .. use it when you are ready

 

 

 

- part four -

 

 

 

bank here .. get good armor good food and a weapon like d scim .. your opponent fights with all 3 styles and will pray

 

 

 

when you use the mirror fragment your automaticly teleported into another realm , similar to the rift and dreamworlds .. this is the mirrorworld .

 

 

 

use a superset and run up to the large mirror , and be prepared for a hellova fight

 

 

 

you will fight .. yourself .. same level and same gear .. if you brought a change of gear he did too .. if you brought 20 sharks four super restores and a superset .. he did too

 

 

 

thats right .. you have to fight an exact copy of yourself ( he will use your style .. pray what you pray .. have your combat levels .. and be basicly really hard to beat cause he will copy your entire style and if you adapt it will adapt )

 

 

 

the second the fight starts you should be potted up and he wont be .. thats the one advantage you can get , immedietly pray melee so he will .. spec him then drop your pray so his spec wont be as damaging .. throw pray back up and wear him down .

 

 

 

if you manage to defeat him the spirits will tell you where lucien is , and that the staff accually belonged to their brother .. their master .. guthix

 

 

 

- final battle -

 

 

 

once you get back to a bank refresh your supplies , pot up and get ready for another barn burner .

 

 

 

when you equip the staff it will transport you to the land of balance , lucien is there waiting .

 

 

 

and holy :o hes level 9200 ? .. and really .. big ( about fourtimes the size of the gwd bosses )

 

 

 

you will find hes been waiting for you to deliver the staff .. combined with the stone and the arma staff he would have enough power to wake and destroy guthix , he challenges you for it in battle once you refuse to just hand it to him

 

 

 

once the battle starts you grow to his size ( oh yeah ) and gain massive stats from the staff .. you can now safley wield a regular weapon .

 

 

 

now its 50 foot tall omg super lucien , against equaly huge goodguy ... each of you having equally massive stats

 

 

 

luciens 8k hitpoints are nothing against level 950 strength ( your current lv x 100 will be ur stats so 90 hp would be 900 )

 

 

 

lucien can hit up to 350 damage with magic ( ouch immagine that at a boss ) and about 200 with melee so pray magic at all times .. sara brews and restores here for effective healing .

 

 

 

if you win you will both be restored to normal sizes .. he sets the staff and stone down and looks at you triggering the next cutscene ( alot of help from the hytchat for the twist )

 

 

 

Lucien : i die here it seems

 

you : i wont show you mercy , you killed without remorse

 

Lucien : and here i thought you were the god of balance

 

you : what

 

Lucien : good fight lord guthix ... goood fight * lucien dies and your automaticly teleported to the finish point in legends *

 

 

 

quest end after talking :

 

 

 

final cutscene in the area with the sprites

 

 

 

you : am i really

 

man : you are the god of balance lord ( your name )

 

woman1: you always did what you did to restore that balance

 

woman2 : although your godlike powers are in these artifacts of course

 

another older you appears in the mirror : i told the elf king and avian leader to gaurd them , as well as my servants to gaurd the stone .. i return to sleep here in this mirror now .. thank you ( your name )

 

 

 

you : will you three gaurd the artifacts

 

all : yes

 

you : good .. can i come back and visit

 

man : we would like that .. very much

500k gp available from the elven king if you do a sidequest later involving annyoing errand running

 

ability to gain a third dragon shield part drop from certian beasties to make a d kite at the forge

 

talk to the mining guild master to start a miniquest involving another mammoth to gain the dragon pick

 

talk to warhammer salesmen in relekka to start a miniquest involving a king cyclops who drops the dragon defender and dragon warhammer as well as the dragon shortsword

d warhammer - thuds fury - a really fast really hard hit that can lower an opponents stats including pray 5% per damage done

 

 

 

d shortsword - swiftstab - 2 quick stabs with dropped damage but high chance of hitting

It sounds really good, but if you actually want this to happen I advise you fix your spelling/grammar. Go grandmaster quests! :thumbsup:

I'm pretty sure the quest writers plan out the storyline for plots. So the guy who wrote While Guthix Sleeps (people need to stop abbreviating this by the way, it's a quest name, not a bloody godsword.) probably has the next quest(s) planned out.

I think... The writing for quests should be left for jagex.
