July 16, 200520 yr Good idea, but with hundreds of thousands of ppl that play rs (maybe even milions), and 1 in 10 is a clan leader, that's a lot of clans and a LOT of portals around runescape..... My suggestion is have one building in a major city (varrock for example) where, when a person enters, they are in their clan's HQ (they cannot get into another clan's HQ). If you are not in a clan, you cannot get in. This would make things better.... i just thought of something! If your not in a clan, that building is like a registration office thing! you go in and join a clan through there! Let me know what you think...
July 16, 200520 yr Excellent job. Nice to see a post about something everyone really wants (clans, drangon kite, houses) that's so well organized. I also like the registration office idea. It would keep the screen less cluttered, since you wouldn't have the "join clan" in the corner all the time. The number of clans might be a concern. lpinkus

July 17, 200520 yr I like any idea of clan support in rs. But I think that other ways of going about it would be better. For example I think there should only be a an invite option (and no apply option) in which clan leaders (or co-leaders/ high rank officer etc) should be able to use. The apply option you suggested could cause a lot of problems for clans who don't look at skill lvls or skill totals in a player, but perhaps an age or maturity lvl in a person. And a decent clan might be flooded by complete newbies. That's just one problem. I also think a clan should get a small bit a land or house (I like the portal idea where only clan members can access) but it should cost quite a lot to get it. This would act as a (much needed) money drain, but would also save server space as not every clan would be able to afford this house/bit of land. There would have to be a clan friends list, or a clan channel (so to speak) where you can talk to all your caln members (this would be able to be switched off so you can't see it.) Also with clan support I would like to see competitive wars/battles and see it ranked - perhaps a castle wars style fight. OK maybe I've been playing too much Guild Wars, but I think those things would really add so much to the game. Btw I do like some of your points you made there like the clan interaction :)

July 17, 200520 yr What an amazing idea....Finally a really well thought out idea where you have gone to the trouble to make it a nice presentation (not that others haven't done that in other suggestion topics) :D I am totally with this idea but the chance of Jagex actually doing it is about a 2/100 chance...well just knowing what Jagex are like somtimes. But worth sending to Jagex so they know there is public support behind it. The only concern I would find for it...is that espicially for high lvl players they will be bugged all day and night from little newbies asking if they will join their clan. Then the normal thing would occur where they would reapeatedly say no to joining the clan and then eventually get sworn at and called a noob (gees i belong in the rants section of the forum) :lol: ...Therefore a handy button should be implimented... "Clan joining" and that button can be set to on or off. But all in all I think its a wonderful suggestion and I reckon there will be good public support behind it. :D

I get that, but on the other hand, isn't it also fun if a clan is not all lvl 70 mages but a mixture of stronger and weaker players? I understand not every clan would want this, but it seems to make things more interesting, stronger members sticking up for the newbier members. lpinkus

You could have redone the picturese, posted them and said "Your graphics weren't the best, I've made better ones!", but no. July 18, 200520 yr Clan support is an idea clammered for by more players than any other thing in RS, it is also the 1 thing we will never get. First of all, each clan would have a unique name and a single responsible leader, these wuold have to be managed by Jagex. Allow me to explain why they would never undertake such a task. The names alone would be contesuois at best. Lets use DI as an example. First off, what if someone outside DI got the name before they could, "Selling DI clan..1 billion GP", a scam in the making. But now consider, clone names. We would have Damage Inc Damage Incorp Damage Inc (2 spaces) D I D I ( 2 spaces again) Damage I D Inc Damage Inc( 3 spaces.... It is endless, thus Jagex would never accept the responsibilty of managing such an endless argument in the making. I think JAGeX might be worried that in-game, well organized clans would massacre even more newbs than now :) Although that may sound humorous, if it makes people quit, then they never become members. He was saying that the graphics werent bad, as you thought, and he said that it was the most effort hes seen someone put inot a suggestion. Read it again, and youll see he wasnt crticising, infact, it was quite the opposite!
