  1. Epic grammar phail =D> Just kidding On topic: Great guide! I am going to try out some of these techniques. Thanks!
  2. If you're planning to smith the steel/mith/addy/rune bars, you might want to bank some platebodys of those metals. And, you should bank rune essence (unless there's some there that I didn't see).
  3. Now, I was never a big pker, but I think many of you are missing the point of this thread. People seem to take all the skills in the game for granted and are needlessly malevolent towards pkers. Common argument by some people: "I worked hard for those skills, removing them would be a slap in the face" --->Well, people also worked to be pkers, and I doubt people could argue that pking was more feasible in the wilderness. Common argument by some people: "Skills are at the heart of Runescape- No skills, no RS" --->If Jagex removed SOME of the skills, that would not destroy the game. Similarly, by removing SOME aspect of runescape (pking), it did not destroy the game. Common argument: "Wilderness is full of rude people. Good riddance!/served them right" --->No one forces you to go to the wilderness, just as no one forces one to skill. So why are you so angry towards people that can be easily avoided. Also, as has been mentioned, fishing also has people that are rude, FOG has people that are rude, RUDE PEOPLE ARE ANYWHERE. I think people need to be able to convey some degree of understanding as to why pkers are frustrated. Who said that certain skills are at the heart of the game? Skillers seem to take for granted the fact that since their activities in runescape were not removed, they are justified in bashing every Jagex critic. I think at the heart of the continual conflict between ex-pkers and skillers is that skillers are not understanding towards the root of pkers' frustration. Most of the arguments used against pking can be used against skilling. Now I understand that fewer people pk than skill, so it made sense to remove pking rather than remove skilling. But that does not justify the way some skillers are completely unwilling to understand the frustration that pkers feel.
  4. I use super-heat item and high alchemy in a combo when I make steel platebodies. This method has gotten me through several levels in mage. The way I do it is that I mine and craft my materials myself. Buying all the raw materials to cast the super-heat spells would be very expensive, and i would say that 1-2 gp isn't an accurate price. You have (per cast of superheat item): [*:3s32pi30]4 coal: 4 x ~190gp= 760 gp [*:3s32pi30]1 mithril ore: 1 x ~180 gp= 180 gp [*:3s32pi30]1 nature rune: 1 x ~260 gp= 260 gp Total gp spent on one spell: 1200 Gp per xp: 1200 gp/53 xp= 22.6 gp per magic xp Well you could sell the mithril bars on GE for 1158 gp, which means it would cost 42 gp / 53 xp, or .79 gp/mage xp That is going off of the current market price on the GE.
  5. GREAT COMEBACK!!! Well you did not to respond to any of the other points that I brought up in my thread... =D> I was not trying to bash you, I was pointing out the flaws in your "arguements" on a "mannered level," but it seems that you cannot even hold an intellectual conversation.
  6. Well, the purpose of this thread is CLEARLY stated: We can all read. We know the response, we know the chances of getting an update, we know we are not entitled to it, etc. But this thread was explicitly created for the purpose of asking for what we want. Why complain to the f2pers who actually post in the thread designated for this, rather than posting a new rant? Lol you sound incredulous at the idea of showing off a 99. Is there something wrong with wanting to show off a stat that took a long time to achieve? If $5 is such an insignificant amount of money, then why are so so hostile and spiteful to the idea of f2p getting anything? If it's such an insignificant amount, why does it seem to mean so much that you pay $5? It's one thing to remind the people who do not read, and make new rant threads whining about f2p all the time. However, you come here to the thread of f2pers who actually follow the thread rules and try to provoke us for nothing. We are simply stating what we would like to see, NOT with an air of entitlement, just what would be nice. Just because you pay $5 a month to Jagex does not justify condescending upon every "cheap" f2per. EDIT: found this quote, which I think sums up what I said pretty nicely: kthxbai \ [hide=disclaimer](not bashing p2pers in general, just ones provoking us unnecessarily in this thread [KillTyrant])[/hide]
  7. (I'm f2p) Now I know none of the prizes are really worth it (or so I've heard), but since I have like 500 tokens anyways, what items are the best to get in terms of cost/effectiveness. IDC if it's for skilling or combat, just what are the best recommendations? Thanks
  8. Can anyone catch me up on rscape, I have not played in the past 387 days! PS I am not a member, just f2p
  9. I dont think that bind (or teles) is worth it... Also, you should mention that with another mage using fire strike or higher, you can try to ko a pker if you coordinate your attacks... Another point, going to those multi-areas you mentioned REQUIRE a team if you are to survive... there are just soo many pures... SO.... Things to add: 1. Consider my points :P 2. Pics (lots of ppl will say this) 3. Places to train 4. Maybe a little bit on making money~ 5. More info on the pking spots, (ie edgeville is not in multi, etc.)
  10. Thanks that helped a lot
  11. lol that bump was 28 minutes later.... anyways, nice stats for f2p! ~~Good luck getting 1k total~~
  12. Me too lol. The guy said to use charcoal and burnt bones and when used those items it didn't work  lol wouldnt that make black armor or something? :? black t i thought at the time lol
  13. Me too lol. The guy said to use charcoal and burnt bones and when used those items it didn't work
  14. I tried a search on this, with no luck. Is there a way to link to a specific post in a topic?
  15. +1 I think you should submit it to be published in the next tip it times.
  16. It is basically armor with gold stripes on it. If you scroll down this link, you can see some pictures Hope this helps :)
  17. Keep in mind, we're not playing runescape to demonstrate a strong work ethic or anything, we're playing it to have fun.
  18. The link in "July Observations" (in the quote) links to the previous article, not the current one. On topic: The article seemed kind of dull this week :x
  19. The all is underlined because it links to the search button. Anyways, there is a good guide for creating f2p pures that 3xp3nsive (sp?) made, so just try the search button.
  20. And before, weren't you able to attack him ?
  21. My computers can support high detail and I used to play high detail for a while. But then I started playing without sound and wanted to minimize the risk for lag in the wildy, plus I cannot even tell the difference between low and high detail (besides the no sound) So now, I only use low detail
  22. I think iron daggers are worse. It's so annoying when goblins and such drop them!
  23. There you go :) First off, I recommend mining iron in the east Varrock mine. Look at the map if you do not know where it is. Next, do NOT smelt it, as many people use iron ore to make steel. Finally, it should not be too difficult to sell iron at Falador east bank (assuming you have a nice easy number of iron such as 100, 500, or 1000) for 100 ea.
  24. Good job, but this trade: seems the most unbelievable. How did you find a trader for this? :?:
