Harakiri
A somewhat mean rant: So, what your complaining about is unbalanced gameplay? Lets start with one of your last sentences about all the people in the middle. I have not had a problem since release with this. Normally, not many people play these minigames, and so I usually never seem to find people on my world playing... The unbalanced issue I can't exactly side with you on. This game is another (as I like to call it) "Shut Up PKers" minigame. It is unbalanced, kinda like the wild. And I know the wild had some balance, but there was the occasional time when it was so unfairly biased towards someone that you would die five times just trying to gain an agility level at the course. While I can also side on you on this fact, I have to say that I've found the game to be somewhat entertaining. While the mechanics could use a bit more dumbing down (It seems too complex sometimes), it is certainly fun when you look past the flaws... I would only hope for a smaller arena...just because it does get quite annoying when all your enemy does is run and hide the whole game...which I know is the point, but when your paired with some guy wearing nothing and because of his running you can barely hit him...it kinda pisses you off... Just my opinion...
sees_all1
I agree. The game can be enjoyable if you are matched up against a similar level of equal skill but there is no skill level that can overcome a 30 level defense difference and one players ability to pray when another can't. The rewards I find (except maybe rc gloves) really aren't worth the hassle either. Maybe if it was based on level and 'skill' I would play it more but as it is now there is no point for me to waste 2 hours fighting level 100's for some gloves. This is from a F2P standpoint. Maybe things are more balanced in P2P.... And please don't say "I've beaten someone 40 levels higher than me!!!". You haven't. You beat a moron. From a F2P point of view - I believe you are mistaken. I play FoG on my nub acct, sqelt. Sqelt is level 38, and with him I've beaten about 30 level 90's or above. All they all morons? No, I would think not. I'm just that good at hiding. I don't let them find me, and when I do, its when I'm standing near a house... if you time it right the only damage you'll take is when you enter the house. Also, every so often, maybe 1/5 games, I'll play someone that's my level (And by that I mean between the levels of 20-50). And I destroy them. Oh, and to help prove this, Sqelt's stats - magic 55, defense 10, HP 40, cmb lvl 38... FoG rating - 5,423 with 5,611 ranking points. 99 dungeoneering achieved, thanks to everyone that celebrated with me! ♪♪ Don't interrupt me as I struggle to complete this thoughtHave some respect for someone more forgetful than yourself ♪♪♪♪ And I'm not doneAnd I won't be till my head falls off ♪♪
8112204
Reduced stats doesn't mean they will roll over and die in 10 seconds. Reduced stats = somewhat less effective in combat. It's not that hard to kill someone in F2P, and its also not hard to find someone (the game area is not that huge) and after you find them it's very hard to lose them so you just follow them and keep attacking over and over... But the game experience may change in P2P, with different weapons, I dunno, but I'm sure that FoG is not that hard in F2P.
