Master_Smither
Yew longs are by far the easiest to buy because they sell quick and you can buy 10k every 4 hours. You can also try mage longs but they sell a bit slower. Master_Smither
You need 184,588 alchs which will cost 162,068,264 then once you subtract the alch back which is 141,763,584 you total a loss of 20,304,680. purewcnub
There are much better methods to train Magic than alching. Alching can be pretty good though, if you look on GE and compare prices to high-alch values. No one is going to tell you the best item to alch, find it yourself. Good Luck. RayOxide
The "Best" items to alch are kinda secret, and even so, not many of these items come in. Yew longs and mage longs on the side are probably the best if you want ALOT per day. Although, there are other ways to train mage which are faster and more efficient, usually Lunar. Plank make and string ammies are 2 awesome spells, and give great xp, but a big loss. And since they're so very fast, you can make the money back with ease. I dont need a siggy no moar. purewcnub
Another thing you could try is enchanting bolts. check bolt prices on Grand Exchange and then add in the cost to enchant. If the cost to enchant and buy the bolt is lower than what the enchanted bolts are selling for, go for it. You can make easy money and exp. Which reminds me, *hearsay info:* Enchanting diamond bolts gathers 150k xp p/hour. Much more than alching, but I dont think its as much as stringing ammies (?), if you havent done lunar diamond bolts is a great way to go. I dont need a siggy no moar. RayOxide
^Eh? Anyway, remembering that chaos gauntlets at steel/iron dragons with fire bolt is still faster than alching, more fun, and more of a chance of a visage? :o I dont need a siggy no moar. I got intense cash and xp. btw i used a clicker so i got more xp than most people #-o but diamond bolts are like -109k per 1000 casts. i think it is comparable to high alches because the spell gives 67000 xp per 1000 casts for 109k loss. and alch gives 55000 per 1000 casts for a (100,000 loss?) emerald bolts are good every now and then. 2nd troll to 840+ post count. RayOxide
My info was hearsay. Bronze was botted. Something higher than inbetween those would be an average. 190k-210k maybe? meme79
enchanting is far lower xp/h... like 120k tops.. also to whoever suggested fire bolting.. thats like 20k per hour.... and the nub mages steals the dragons from slayers :x XBL gamertag: SeismicTriangle
RayOxide
I said it.. And its faster than alching, so it isnt 20k per hour. How the hell did you get 20k per hour? :P I dont need a siggy no moar.
ilovecardj
firebolting is not faster then alching in any way. fire bolting is like 40k an hour or something along those lines. alching is like 65-70k Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning

ilovecardj
well sc mage armor doubles casting exp but not damage, so even then I think alching will probly get more exp. But I didnt know sc mage armor was factored in. But if it was couldnt you alch with it on and get 130k exp an hour? Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning
