I've been trying to become a player moderator myself, and have reported every single bug I found, and every single player breaking the rules, and had not broken any rules, and I have yet to get a message from JaGeX.

Could you help in any way?

lol forums are for everybody buddy and anyone can answer. you think just cause you report every bug and report every lawbreakers will make you a mod? you don't think out of all the millions of people that play this game, a fraction of them report just like you? it is like a lottery just keep on reporting...yea sure i been reporting for 3 years always hoped that i would be a mod...but their are other people that do the same just like me...what makes them special, i don't know...being a mod is one big lottery...u vs everyone that plays

I've been playing over four years. Yes I report serious rule violations and always have. I've also been active on the rs forums for those years and have been a member. I'm not a player moderator. No p-mod can help you, only your behavior can. Some people are never asked to mod. I don't really know why you'd want to be a mod anyway. It detracts from your in game experience and it's not like you get anything from it...

A) Being a PMod is a huge hassle, trust me.

B) Asking for pmod status makes you immedietely a non candidate.

C) There is no benefit for being a pmod, so the only reason you would possibly want it would be to show off, completely opposite of the whole point.

agreed i have played from March 2001 and i have had 2 seperate player mods tell me that have have summited my name to Jagex to consider making me a player mod but its never happened. I think i would turn the offer down. Because as said its more of a hassle then anything. You dotn get payed but you have to listen to people complain about everythign because they think you have some kind of power to help them.

The harder you try, the less likely it is to be chosen. If you come across as going out of your way to suck up & become noticed as a 'helpful tool' to Jagex then your motives for become a player moderator will often be questioned.

My advice is to simply stop making it your goal to become a player moderator, and instead be natural in your gameplay. If you are, naturally, suited to the position then there is a chance that you will be chosen, but bear in mind the multitude of players wishing the same as you.

Allow me, an ex-player mod, to enlighten you based on my personal experience.

1. Do not report someone just because he used censored words or calling others "noobs". Jagex dont like people who tattle on every minor offense, they want BIG offenses.

2. Report offenses in an accurate manner, dont report just because you suspect someone is breaking a rule. Get the culprit's confession too.

3. After the LOTTERY of choosing a P-mod, Jagex will send a noob account or a test to see if you are worthy, your behavior in the game will determine the final outcome. Do not be rude to the noob (in case it might be the Jagex tester in diguise)

Trust me, being a P-Mod is too much of a hassle. I got stripped of my status because I once told a noob "Do I look like I got all answers to life on my face?" after his endless questions.
