Welcome to my thread! :)

 

It's not very rare to see complaints about the Lootshare and Coinshare systems in many PvM events I go to. I think that some more Lootshare modes (i.e. different settings such as Coinshare) would be useful :).

 

 

 

Current Modes:

 

Lootshare: Ideal for massacres/large teams. Drops are not split, and players receive them based on a points system.

 

Coinshare: Ideal for smaller teams. Rare drops are split, and all players receive a portion of the total GE value.

 

 

 

Ideas for New Modes:

 

1. Rotate-Share: Ideal for 2-4 man teams. The drop is given to a randomly selected player (not based on LSP). The next drop is given to another randomly selected player (cannot be the same player as before). This is repeated until all players on the team have received a drop. Then, this entire process repeats. Example below:

 

 

 

3-Man Team:

 

Player A receives drop.

 

Player B receives drop.

 

Player C receives drop.

 

-- Rotation Reset (all players received a drop) --

 

Player A receives drop.

 

Player B receives drop.

 

Player C receives drop.

 

 

 

LSP is not affected in any way when using this mode, as receiving of drops is not affected by it. PLAYERS MUST BE IN COMBAT THROUGHOUT THE FIGHT to receive the drop, otherwise this could be used for Rwting :o

 

 

 

2. Damage Share: Ideal for duos who use non-Lootshare worlds. Very similar to the way World 6 works (player that did the most damage receives the drop), except the other teammates are informed of what the drop was. This mode would be available in every world. With CS ACTIVATED, players would receive a coin split proportional to the amount of damage that they did during the kill.

 

 

 

3. Custom Coinshare: this is a mode that I think would be a very helpful addition. The current coinshare mode splits drops that have been set by Jagex, but there are problems with this situation. Imagine this:

 

 

 

Corporeal Beast:

 

15 Man Team

 

Player A has highest LSP on the team. If a sigil drops, it'll be his/her drop for sure.

 

Player A received: Holy elixir. 8m value on the Lootshare system, but of little value to players.

 

Player A is now last in LSP on the team.

 

Player B received: 1 Elysian sigil

 

 

 

Player A now decides to use Coinshare next time. Take the same situation:

 

 

 

All players receive 500k-600k split of the Elixir drop. This is fine, getting some money from a drop that would have been unsellable.

 

Next, all players receive 7.5m-8m split of the Elysian sigil. Sure, that's fine, free money, but in actuality it is a waste. Let's compare the scenarios:

 

 

 

Coinsharing the Elysian Sigil:

 

Pro: All players receive a large amount of money (7-8m)

 

Con: All players' LSP are significantly reduced. In general, the LSP order of the team does not change.

 

 

 

Lootsharing the Elysian Sigil:

 

Pro: One player gets an incredibly high value item and is very satisfied. Other players have incredibly high LSP and will get lots of drops should they leave for another team.

 

Con: All other players didn't get the high value item.

 

 

 

What if there could be a hybrid in between Coinshare and Lootshare? That is what I think Custom Coinshare should be!

 

Rather than having the system split a list of items decided by Jagex, have the CC Owner set a value range for items to be coinshared. All other items would be Lootshared. Example:

 

 

 

Corporeal Beast Team:

 

Coinshare range set to: 1m-60m

 

With this setting, drops such as Onyx Bolts, Elixir, Spectral, and Arcane Sigil would be split. However, the Divine and Elysian sigils would be given to one player only, just like Lootshare. There would also be an option for Total Coinshare, which would essentially split every single drop into coins. If you read this far put a (+) in your post. Can't stand title surfers :P

 

 

 

This would be a great solution in my opinion for debates between using Lootshare and Coinshare.

The Coinshare modes would cause certain items to never actually enter the game. There are already some issues that I've heard regarding CS. I'm open to discussion.

i agree. customshare would be awesome. Although im f2p ive had times were my clan and me were fighting roaches and someone gets a scimitar or square shield. First off its hard to sell square shields. Second the person has to divide the cash evenly. Yea it seems like a small amount but we used to go often and would get tons of rune items.

 

 

 

To make it more appealing to jagex to make it happen there probably should be a min of 10k or something. Cause all those little things like runes seem to be fine with the LSP system. Just the armour and weaps ive seen a problem with.

id think it would be like lootshare in that the clan leader would choose what ls option the clan gets. If a clan really was good it would do whats best for the whole team since the "lootshare" gives the next drop to the person with highest lsp which is random to the clan cause they dont know who has that highest lsp. and + for me too. previous post i read the whole thing but forgot to put it in lol
