Am I good enough for Bronze Drags?

Featured Replies

I have a slayer assignment for 59 bronze dragons and I was wondering if I am able to sucsessfully melee them.

Stats

92 Combat

74 atk

67 str

71 def

71 hp

53 Prayer

Setup

D Med

Glory

Anti Dfire

Obby Cape

D Boots

D Legs

Rune Plate

Addy Gloves

A few other questions, what is the best inventory setup? What weapon should I be using? (I have Whip, D Scim and if needed Dragon Dagger P++ for spec) And should I change anything in my setup/train something?

Finally, something almost unrelated, what is a good way to get 70 pray (52 con) cheaply?

Thanks!

wear as much pray bonus as you can take a super set some anti fire pots and lots or pray pots

pray melee and use the super set when you fight them, they're pretty high defence and your 67 str will slow you down in how long it takes to kill em

Seriously? 59 bronze assignment at 92 cb? Duradel must of had a hang over from a Christmas party...

Basically setup should be prayer focused and using dds to poison the dragon (helps a lot). And potting is necessary to pass through this quickly.

Actually might want to consider using mage if you find this incredibly slow.

I got my Bronze Dragons assignment from Chaldear. I was actually wondering the same thing...my stats are below.

I KNOW this site has a metal dragons guide, but in it, Bronze Dragons are considered..let me see if I can get this right: "Bronze Dragons are excluded from this guide. Players view them as not worth the potions and the time to kill. Bronzes have mediocre rune drops and can drop dragon platelegs and plateskirts, but the odds are immensely less than from Iron and Steel Dragons. Don't waste your time on them unless you feel you are not ready for Iron and Steel Dragons or need a little practice before going up against the big guys. If you decide to fight Bronze Dragons instead, you should still use this guide as a general idea of how to fight them."

I realize some heavy hitters think it's an easy task, but I don't! I would like a study guide for the bronze tasks, too!

that guide is basically what to wear

basically same thing for lower lvls

leaf bladed sword may work better than whip

If it's your first time EVER at bronze drags, what I wear worked.

Anti-Dragon Fire Shield

Best C-bow

Broad or Mith(maybe steel) bolts

Best D-Hide

Helm you prefer(I don't think Neit has any bonuses for this)

Boots of Lightness(uneccessary) or whatever ranging boots(snakeskin, etc.)

With inventory as

However many Anti-Fire Potions you need, I believe it is 1 for every 8 Dragons, at level 70 range, so try 1 for every 4 or something - they're cheap anyways)

And some food for running to their spot. Make sure that your prayer is full when going, and use the Chaos tunnels. Supposedly this is the best spot, and it worked well for me.

Just skip it, they're never good at any level.

I was going to say the exact same thing

Yes you are.

Monk Robes + 8 prayer potions + BLACK MASK!!! + LEAF-BLADED SWORD (yes you heard me well! no whip! and no, you don't need the quest to wield it, even if it says so) + 5 Antifire Potions + 5 Zamorak Brew +anti-dragon shield= Task Done

you also need 55 slayer and 50 atk to wield the sword

First of all, read this tip.it page: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=metal_dragons.htm I think you could if you brought super strength pots and 12+ ppots, but really, bronze dragons would mean a loss of profit, especially at those stats. I did a small run of bronze dragons at pretty much those same stats, (except I had 71 strength) and ended up losing almost 100k profit. you should wait until you have some 75+'s, then do iron dragons (currently I have an iron dragon slayer assignment, and I am making profit). Hope that helps!

In other words, if that was... too long for you, you might want to skip it.

... Not leaf bladed sword... whip's accuracy + black mask is MUCH better than a leaf-bladed sword, even if he could wear it.

Can't wait till I FINALLY find some God Wars Dungeon partners >.>
