Dullmage Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 Im bored of training mage using stun and want to try maging some high level monsters. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should fight? I don't care about the exp, just mainly drops. I know drops are completely random but are any high mage spells strong against high level monsters? Also, my magic level is 91, summoning level 70, and I have both lunar and ancients. jade_slayer6 Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 You could kill metal dragons with fire bolt with gauntlets or fire wave. Since they drop dragon platelets and skirt and visage you have a chance of getting suprised every once in a while. meb Posted January 2, 2009 Share Posted January 2, 2009 Maging Dagannoth rex with claws of guthix (requires the void mace) is a good option. I got up to 150k xp per trip and a good bit of profit. Use the AoW guide if you don't know how to DK. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. The runes being a major cost here, fire waving easily halves the cost of supplies used but that means less kills per trip. Either an axe or a zerker make you profit, so you might as well use Claws of Guthix to maximize the chance of profit. You only need 2 good drops over 3 trips to profit, so you're almost 100% guaranteed of profit.
