January 2, 200917 yr Any recomended tools to use for DVD ripping? I've found a few from google but thought I'ld try and find a recomended one.
January 2, 200917 yr I like AnyDVD (Used it for a while now, and is fairly quick) - However without paying, all you're getting is a trial of the program. I would also recommend SmartRipper; which is freeware, and also good.

January 2, 200917 yr DVDs are very high quality video, so they're always going to be huge. If you want, you could try compressing the video with some editing software, but otherwise, I don't know. Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <3

Itunes films are usually compressed, and pirated :? ones are almost always lower quality. I don't know what else you've been downloading, but there's pretty much nowhere that you could download DVD-quality films. If you're planning on burning another DVD, keep anything. If you just want to watch it on your computer, you can delete any non-video type files. Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <3

If you just want to watch it on your computer, you can delete any non-video type files. All the Movies I download are DVD-Quality 700MB .avi files. (They are even dubbed DVD-Rip, and come out perfect when burnt to a DVD and played back on my TV) --- I remember using a tool on Ubuntu called AcidRIP, which outputted a 700mb .avi file - And the quality was perfect. (But then again... that's on Ubuntu, another operating system)

From my experiences as a pirate, movies are generally low-quality, because of the direct rip of video feed. You won't get DVD quality from it. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight.
