  1. I like the Lacuna Coil music at the beginning :D And dance scenes in it  Good luck.
  2. I think he got lucky :) --- I don't really think about it, same principles apply to real life anyway, what with things such as the lottery, and the very minimal possibility of Bill Gates coming to my door and giving me all of his $$$.
  3. They say this is animation pack 1, so I could only assume we see changes to other weapons and the animations they use in the future? (Such as the SGS etc) Loving the look of the new whip, and I would also love the look of the d scim a bit more, if only it wasn't held up in the air like it is. But yeah, the look they gave these weapons simply look awesome, especially in HD. Cool update. Jagex
  4. Thanks both of you :) I will be risking 10k in my next game and will talk to the sergeant ASAP :)
  5. I have read some people say that they get 20k in winnings from the game? How? :( I just went and raged, killing 16 units, but I never get more than 5k in reward, no matter what I do. Another question (sorry :P) How do you become a Junior Cadet?
  6. I love the new style they have been going for, it feels a bit web2.0 in terms of look :P It's new, fresh, nothing I can complain about :) Sure it takes some getting used to, but so does any update.
  7. I was just thinking about the latest interface graphic changes they have done. I guess it's safe to assume that other areas like the prayer icons, and stat icons will get modified to right? to fit in with the theme that they have started with making everything look crisp and modern.
  8. Is there anyway to select more than one unit at a time? This is getting very tedious having to click one, move the map, attack, then go back to the start to collect my next batch.
  9. This is the first mini-game that I am actually enjoying. A LOT! It's such a new take and feel for Runescape, and I think they have managed to pull it off :)
  10. Yes! This (in my opinion anyway) is coming across as a brilliant update!! Something else for us to wait for also :D
  11. I bought 100 Onyx rings +6 all combat stats cept str, cmon! theyre 220k aswell.. it'll be like new zerker. You know it says you have to use a MA enchantment it is going to take forever for 100 rings. :l I think he bought them because they're probably going to be going up in price because of this update. LMAO you brought 100 rings of stone not 100 onyx rings. I didn't realise you could buy rings of stone :o! I wasted 2million buying onyx ring to make a ring of stone back in the day :( but yeah, I am now also LMAO'ing at what just happened with you buying 100 of them :D
  12. Ohh I just realised from the frame pictures, that we will now be able to have notes in game? That is so cool!!!! :D And Peregrine, I believe the red box might be the quest kit? (Quest kits are a one-slot container for items you often need in quests, such as rope, chisels, lamps and tinderboxes.) Not sure about the other thing though :D EDIT: What Kietaro1 said :)
  13. Wow!!! I can't wait to play this. The whole Age of Empires feel to this minigame seems great! Reading over the article it looks like it will be enjoyable, Unlock new scenarios? New teleports? New cloth items? *shakes from excitement*
  14. Yeah I heard that too... If I recall it was to do with the old SwiftSwitch program, because that allowed people to force them self onto a world, and thus world-hop with ease. The switcher was what Jagex didn't like. (For some reason I also remember an old version that had an auto-talker and macro clicker... EDIT: Never mind, that was instead in a program called Elite Switch, looked exactly the same; Make sure you stay away from this one!) But then they changed it to SwiftKit, and this was accepted by Jagex because it didn't breach any rules and followed their guidelines. Runescape Official Client Swift Kit Tiko Tip.it Firefox Plugin I have used them all and assure their safety, just get them from the proper website. I personally use Swift Switch these days however, only because it's the only client I got working under Wine in Linux. :x Just don't forget to SCAN :)
  15. If you download it from the official source, then yes, it's fairly damn safe :) I used to use it back in my Windows days, and I found it to be a very good tool to use. Your slow down question is totally dependant on what spec machine you are running. But I have had it working fine and in HD with only 512MB RAM and an old graphics card. But, if you are still unsure of its safety, then you might be interested in the web based alternatives out there. tip.it offer a plug-in for Firefox, and Zybez are have something called Tiko, which is pretty much the same as Swiftkit, however it is run within the web browser itself.
  16. Yeah, but I might as well level it up sometime :) Ok, thanks for your answers people, Monks it is (Another benefit to that is the fairy ring is close by, so I can go to MTK each day with no hassle to keep it at 100% :D)
  17. Hello all :) I am currently undergoing a 4 Week MTK Plan, and I was intending to do some fishing fin between so that I could get some money/xp I am having a hard time deciding whether to carry on with the sharks, or do monks? Sharks are around 1k raw, and Monkfish around 400gp. However from that I understand there is a considerable difference in fishing them? Someone told me in game that I would be better doing monks, which is why I come here to ask for some backup on this claim, Sharks or Monks, your advice will be appreciated. Thanks.
  18. *sigh* DIRECT access to their network is done by sitting outside of their house and connecting to the router via wireless (By sitting outside of their house, I mean, as long as you are within range to connect to it). Or you are hooked up to it via Ethernet. It's a LAN connection. But in the context of what this discussion is on about is carrying out a DDOS on another runescape player, And you are not going to be directly connecting to their network because obviously you wont be sitting outside the house of every player you'd want to DDOS. It's only "simple" if the network is unprotected and you're in range. Well it's becoming rather common practice now to secure the network in the first place, and doesn't require a level of smartness. See, your scenario is based LAN, while ours is based on getting victims over the other side of the world. You didn't even initially state this, instead you threw your firewall protection at us. It's only logical that we would get confused and argue against you, as the scenario you're basing it on is different than ours.
  19. Let's dissect it fully then. Original Post: Then, you try saying we can't comprehend the facts you're talking about. Well that's kind of hard to do when what you're talking about contains the wrong information and methods behind it.
  20. If you have contact with them you can effectively get their IP without a jump onto their network. What is it with you can getting onto the LAN when you would clearly already then know the WAN IP?
  21. You were before talking of the "simple/basic methods"? Getting onto someones network before hand seems like a fairly long and pointless method to take if you ask me, Especially seeing as an IP can be obtained from the victim simply having to view a website. Wrong. An Anti-virus and firewall does not block the "simple" method, because the simple method of grabbing the IP would be from a forum/IRC, or simply setting up some free hosting and getting a script to email you the IP of anyone who visits it (yes, Google makes that part easy) The Anti-Virus and Firewall helps prevent stop someone getting onto your computer through the WAN IP, correct, but why you would mix this up with being a simple method of getting someone's IP I don't know. Your logic is based upon someone's unprotected network (LAN), well that's going to be local and from their router. So unless you feel like sitting outside their house every time you need but a simple IP address, then have fun -.-
  22. Well you should believe it. I strongly recall seeing it on their forum, from a mod. And no, Mousekeys are not the same as macroing, because there is still user interaction throughout the entire process.
  23. I was temp banned before for constantly clicking with my mouse pad. I just left the cursor over the spell and kept on clicking the left mouse button on my laptop. Same thing happened to my friend. Detection systems that are left to run on their own fail IMO. They should include user interaction into it. For example, the detection system picks up User A. Now, go send a mod to talk with this player. Fairly simple, wouldn't take long, and it can help that little bit more in preventing innocent people from getting banned. Hell, why not make it easy for the person on the job. Make the detection system output the names of suspected players into a list, which then randomly goes out to the moderators. When one is down, they can go check on the next one. It just completely sucks for that person that was falsely accused, and then not given the chance to appeal it. Even I tried reasoning with them (in the two appeals I had for it) And as expected was returned with an automated message saying "thanks for your concern about your account, but no thanks. We have proof, now GTFO" Funny thing is, they don't show this "proof".
  24. Good good :D I just wanted to make sure, I have never really done much in terms of mini-games, just needed to know as with many parts of RS, that there wasn't something I missed. Don't worry, my GOP days are now over :P Thanks all
