  1. Sega Dreamcast for me :D The graphics on this, compared to the PS1 (which if I remember correctly was the rival at the time?) were AWESOME. They also had some great games, and the games that were on the PS1 as well as Dreamcast, just didn't compare; in both gameplay, and look. [hide=My favorite games from the Dreamcast]Chu Chu Rocket Sega GT Tomb Raider Chronicles Speed Devils Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear Vigilante 8: Second Offense (This version kicked the PS1 versions [cabbage]) Worms Armageddon Crazy Taxi 4 Wheel Thunder Silver[/hide]
  2. I doubt they would go that far. I mean that has been in place for a while now, and players have started to adapt to this new system. In my opinion the trade system is going good now, sure... the G.E could use some re-vamping in terms of item costs and things, but the rest seems adequate enough and in working order. I believe the trade limit is still one of the major factors preventing Goldfarmers and such to get back into their nostalgic routine.
  3. VirusTotal agrees with Nadril and says the program is virus free. (Online Scanner using 38 different AV) http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/4dbbda429f39246e2a00591dbb4fddda Logs can be shared on TIF, other forums, or with your friends and family.

  5. Are you telling me one of the most used AV in world isn't good enough? I pay 50$ a year for it, a lot of banks use it, I believe this is one of the bests AV. No offence but that made me LOL in real life. I would go with that recommendation of getting something like NOD32, and then ZoneAlarm as a firewall. Do the HijackThis scan, post the log, if it picks something up, be sure to remove it and then change all of your passwords.
  6. Yes, 1000Mb is 1Gb. Itunes films are usually compressed, and pirated :? ones are almost always lower quality. I don't know what else you've been downloading, but there's pretty much nowhere that you could download DVD-quality films. If you're planning on burning another DVD, keep anything. If you just want to watch it on your computer, you can delete any non-video type files. All the Movies I download are DVD-Quality 700MB .avi files. (They are even dubbed DVD-Rip, and come out perfect when burnt to a DVD and played back on my TV) --- I remember using a tool on Ubuntu called AcidRIP, which outputted a 700mb .avi file - And the quality was perfect. (But then again... that's on Ubuntu, another operating system)
  7. As we all know from the 2009 BTS... Now although this is pretty much a speculation thread, I just wanted to bring it up for discussion based upon personal interest, and wanting to know what others feel could use a re-vamp in the world of Runescape. The Runescape world is rather large, with a lot of areas left untouched apart from the few quest routes, or skilling (Even then, something like Hunter only takes up a small portion of the various land - Jungle/Woodland/Snow etc) We are also left with a lot of towns/settlements unpopulated by many Runescape players, due to there inaccessibility or lack of reason to be there. A few places I can think of from the top of my head: Entrana - No real use aside from the odd quest. Not only is this place hard to access, but it doesn't even have a bank. Tutorial Island - If they were making the new Tutorial in Lumbridge (I'm not so sure what happened here? Did they keep it or move it back?), then this patch of land becomes obsolete. Meiyerditch - Although this rather large area served as the main part of quests, How often is it used afterwards? And for whatever places they do decide to revise, what exactly do you think would be changed/added/even removed? What does everyone else think as abandoned and barley used areas/features within the Runescape world? :)
  8. 287 / two, eight and seven This is the best piece of writing in the Rants section of TIF... ever. I agree with all of the points you brought up, and it wins every argument put forward by the "Slayer lovers" around. Personally, I like slayer, simply because it gets me travelling around Runescape killing monsters. Granted I could do that on my own... However this gives me a set task, a task which keeps me motivated and interested in doing slayer. I don't do slayer for combat (I know that it is awful XP compared to power training it elsewhere) - I do it for the slayer levels/points. It is my goal to achieve 1) Getting a slayer helmet (400 Points) 2) Getting all skills above level 70 That alone adds for my reasoning. Everything that comes with it, combat XP, profit (no matter how small), and the achievement of being able to slay new monsters, is a bonus. The fact that I'm training 6 skills at the same time (Attack,Strength,Defence,Hitpoints,Slayer,Farming) and getting a clue scroll every now and then, is what keeps my enjoyment in the skill. Sure, like you said (and I agree) it is bad combat XP/Profit compared to doing anything else, but slayer is still a skill for me to train, therefore I do.
  9. darn technology, didn't seem like it was that long ago that I got the G11, they are already on G15?? geez lol Heh, They basically just jumped from G11 into G15, then G15 (revision 2) To be honest, I wish I had you're G11 for this task, because [hide=Image][/hide] They went and removed all of the extra "visible" G-keys, so now I have to bind it to some other keys to get the rhythm method you got going on :D ---- Yeah you can turn Mousekeys on with Laptop, you might just need to press [Fn] to turn your numpad on first.
  10. Sounds like Runescape will release another successful year of updates :D I can't wait to see this new content, as well as other things in-game being given an upgrade. 8-)
  11. I like AnyDVD (Used it for a while now, and is fairly quick) - However without paying, all you're getting is a trial of the program. I would also recommend SmartRipper; which is freeware, and also good.
  12. Heh, I can see this being one HUGE final picture, Probably even big enough for a poster print :D
  13. Awesome guide  10/10 Nice to see you using a Logitech G15 G11 as well :)

  15. Great! i have tested it in 32-Bit and 64-Bit vista. I gave up trying to use it on XP, so put it on my Vista laptop :D And it works perfect, I tested it quick by logging on and off, new wallpaper each time. Thanks Sloter!
  16. I'm fairly sure Daemon Tools is used for mounting an CD/DVD image, like .iso - That's hardly helpful for someone wishing to burn a video file to disk. @ OP (even though this is in the wrong forum :P) I would recommend converting this mystery file to .avi. I have worked with a lot of .avi files, and they always seem to convert/burn to disk most efficiently, while keeping the same quality. However for best results I would recommend using a program like VSO ConvertXtoDVD - It supports many more file types, and manages them in a more efficient way. 17. That's right - 15 Hours combat time... which is quite a hefty amount of time :D
  18. I keep getting the error: "The directory you have set is invalid!" While trying to get it working my end. [hide=Image][/hide] Have I got the setup all wrong?
  19. From the description it gives on the site, I'm guessing that once you activate the program, it will be putting everything on your computer in a frozen state. Basically, any change you make to your computer (with this program activated), be it a new downloaded file, or a setting change in your web browser, won't be there after you reboot the computer. The program blocks any changes being written to the hard drive. This "frozen" state should go away once you deactivate it from the program. This file manager however, sounds like the feature in Sandboxie. You can run files without it having any effect on your computer. (A great way for opening applications that you fear could have a virus in it)
