PhrstBrn
Have you ran a virus scan lately or checked for spyware? Give us a HijackThis log: http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip [merijin.org] Also, do you have enough system resources? (press ctrl+alt+del to bring up the task manager, and give us a screen shot of the performance tab) There are so many different reasons why your system may freeze up, I hope we might be able to pinpoint it. McGuff1
I get this happening every time I go past a certain point in Yanille. I have to believe it's some kind of java bug when switching scenes. I run a AMD Duron CPU and Microsoft's Java. When I get a chance I'm going to try switching out both of these items and see if that resolves the problem. Switching Java is the easier of the two. King_Hobson
I'll download hijack this.. i have done it before though, i have even reformatted my hard drive, which still didn't help, so that's why i think it is a hardware problem
PhrstBrn
Screenshot of the task list is useless. please post a HijackThis log. thanks We have no clue what kind of computer he has, how much RAM, etc. He could be freezing up due to lack of RAM, small page file, etc, (unlikely, but you never know). And yes, post the HijackThis log (even if you already posted it on the dell forums, like you said).

blade995
Please just post the hijackthis log. People at dell forums could have missed something. I see you have active updates down in the corner, install them. All critical updates are important for your pc security. You have enough memory to run runescape so thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s not the problem. What is your processor and speed of it? Runescape is a system hog and if you have more than ruenscape open with another program that uses a lot of resources too, your computer could possibly lock up. EDIT: MY stuff is useless tip.it lagged badly when trying to post this  .
King_Hobson
Ok, here's a another screeny of some more about my system. I don't think its hogging my system because i have played rs for like 3 or 4 years.. i dunno since you could see everyone that was on online, so basically when i first came out i was playing, the freezing didn't start occurring since... Christmas of last year? so its' been a few months.

blade995
What kind of java are you using? Is it the latest version? See this thread here. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=118813
battletrax
He's running java 5 update 2. It's time to upgrade to update 4. Also, get some sort of antispyware program and get rid of viewpoint. The other thing that I thinhk would be helpful is info on your video card. My friend has a similar system and as much as jagex denies it, you're going to have problems with onboard gfx.
