Featured Replies

So, im currently a level 85 just joined member (became one 2 days ago) and right now i wear full rune, explorers ring (3), fancy boots, rune gaunts, diamond ammy, and rune scimmy. what is the best, and i mean BEST members armor and weapon in the game? what would you all reccomend for me? my def. lvl is 70, but even if the requirement is higher i will purcahse it because i am looking to purchase something that i can use for the rest of my time on runescape. so, good armor and weapon advice is appreciated. thanks :)

what about ammy, boots, and drag longsword vs. scimmy? gloves? anythin g else?

The rune scimitar beats the rune longsword, why would you expect anything different for dragon? But the best overall melee weapon is the whip. Member's is a lot more complex than F2P so there is no single equipment setup that you can buy that will work for everything. But I recommend getting a regen bracelet, dragon boots, dharok's plate and legs, helm of neitiznot, and rune defender.

Bandos> Torag's for most situations. And dharok's is cheaper than Torag's, by the way. The only use for torag's is range defence, and bandos has more range defence than torag's.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Best weapon for training attack/defense is whip.

Best weapon for training strenght is SS-GS-d scimmy.

Get torag plate and body, black mask, dragon boots, wealth, try to get fire cape and go slay!

Some of the best equipment can't just be bought(rfd gloves to take one example), but takes some effort and questing to get, and what is the best equipment changes with the setting. What you said about the longsword and scimitar also depends on the setting. The scimitar is better for training, while the longsword is better for pvp and for higher hits(It's very underestimated to be honest). If you're looking for the weapons hitting highest in runescape, I hope you have a nice cashpile with you from f2p, as the armadyl godsword is about 60 million. But the all round best weapon is abyssal whip:) Good luck as p2p!
