I know, its a process from Java, that runs with runescape and other stuff, the problem is that today I had some lag, opened task manager, and java[Caution: Executable File] was taking 40 of my CPU, 40?!?!?. That's way too much, it never takes that much memory, my system idle process is about on 50-60 every time java[Caution: Executable File] comes in, is this normal?

Is your system running fine or are you just worried. Runescape can take a lot out of your CPU because of java. I don't think that is entirely abnormal.

RuneScape is very CPU heavy, always has been. It's perfectly normal, so there's no need to worry :)

I'll bet you $10 that it usually takes that and probably more, you just haven't checked it in CPU intensive times because your focus has been on the game in those CPU intensive times.

However were you just curious or what to look in the task manager, or were you prompted to go in there for some reason?

I got a bit of unusual lag, so I decided to see what processes were taking too much CPU
