I haven't played for a long time; like over a year. I've come back and now half the items people are wearing I have no idea what they are or how good they are. For example, when I quit, the Helm of Neitiznot was THE melee combat helm to have, and before that it was the Berserker Helm. I was wondering if anything has taken it's place as the best all round helm, and not just helms specifically, weapons and armour for melee, mage and range. I just like to try have the best gear I can (within reason) to train in. :D

Much appreciated,

I think I'm back :O

Slayers now use a black mask (idk when it was added) and then they added the slayer mask after that. If u don't slay then its neitiznot. Thats about all i know.

I don't think any barrow helms owns slayer helmet when it comes to tasks. But as for armor, yes barrows owns all.

It's not an update, people have come to a realization that Barrow's owns all.

Well, .03% of the population has. Let's shoot for .07% by the end of '09...

Yeah, nezy helm when training melee, veracs helm when doing anything important\maging, armadyl helm when training range.

Drops: 1x Draconic Visage, 56x Abyssal Whip, 5x Demon Head, D Drops: 37, Barrows Drops: 43, DK Drops: 29

GWD drops: 14,000x Bars, 1x Armadyl Hilt, 2x Armadyl Skirt, 4x Sara Sword, 1x Saradomin Hilt, 8x Bandos Hilt, 8x Bandos Platebody, 9x Bandos Tassets, 4x Bandos Boots, 43x Godsword Shard, 82x Dragon Boots

Dry streak records: Saradomin 412 kills Bandos 988 kills Spirit Mages 633 kills - Slayer Sucks

I should have clarified, I meant the (Dharoks/Guthans/Torags) top and (Verac's) Skirt. The ONLY replacement is Bandos, and even that is barely better. The repair costs around ~5k an hour, so it really doesn't add up as people exaggerate it does. People used to (or this may be what you're used to...) switch to Rune and only use Guthan's during Slayer task. This is BAD. More time Guthaning = less time whipping, which is faster; you also save food = saved money.
