January 9, 200917 yr Javascript is a web scripting language that goes alongside HTML and CSS pages. It has a similar syntax to programming languages like Java and C++, so if you've ever tried to learn those and stuggled, you might have a hard time with Javascript. The W3 website offers comprehensive tutorials for learning the basics of loads of different languages. http://www.w3schools.com/default.asp
January 9, 200917 yr Personally, I'd use PHP. It could do it a lot better than any of those, if you used the SimpleXML extension and possibly (I don't know exactly what you're planning to do with the information retrieved) file_put_contents().
January 10, 200917 yr It's not a matter of getting it in any specific code; in reality, any language that can parse a website can do it. It's just a matter of choosing which language to use, studying it, then writing the code to perform such a task.
