I WORDED THIS WRONG

 

after an hour and half my rs screen freezes then wen i minimize it it goes white screen.. then about 10 seconds later it completly just shuts down.. this doesnt happen to my brother who is on the same internet provider..

 

 

 

edit-i downloaded the new java and it still shut down..i also tryed playing on a administrator and it still shut down

Does disconnects only happen in runescape or else where as well?

 

Does the RS window actually physically CLOSE (the entire explorer window close), does it disconnect, or what?

ty thats what i was looking for... but i would like to add one thing my bro is on my other computer same i.p internet and all that and he doesnt lag out every hour and half... actually i worded it rong it just freezes then wen i minimize the screen it goes white screened... and after that in like 15 seconds it literally shuts down. and i dont no if it happens in nething else cuz i havent been on my computer for over an hour and half on nething cept scape..

also search updates for your computer in the Microsoft site ( I'm assuming you're using windows).

 

and run the game in safe mode, to do this press the "s" key on your keyboard while the game is loading.

This might sound weird, but have your parents installed any software that affects the internet at all? If so, that could cause the problem, though I wouldn't know of anything with those capabilities.

That was my first thought. And if he's running Vista, parents already have that control built in. It seems odd that it's after an hour and a half, seems too specific. Are you on an account without administrator powers? Or, is there another account on your computer or just yours?

Next time you go out, open up the interent to your home page and leave it there (Permitting you are out for a while), and see if it closes at all. Then another time when you go out, go to the RuneScape front page, and leave it there, and see if it closes. If either of them closes, then your parents have done something.
