January 17, 200917 yr I'm looking for a device that would measure how far away a concentrated amount of diffracted Infrared light would be in something that has total internal reflection. And possibly some software that can take the values of said device and plot it on a graph/map. I know asking for this is.. Well pretty much a long shot. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in Advance :) Dan

I kind of got my words messed up last night. I mean where the most diffracted light would be, not the distance. because if I have an x and y axis, I don't really need to know the distance. Thanks dsavi_x4, I'll check it out and see if ti can help me
January 18, 200917 yr there is a youtube video where a guy made one by using a piece of glass, and LEDs which emit infrared light on the sides, and a camera to detect where the total internal reflection was broken by a finger touching the screen... i'll try to find it hang on

I have actually seen that video, which made me think of an even better way to do it which does not require a projector, and doesn't require a camera under it. But I think I can get a few very small cameras, take them apart, and place them on the side of the acrylic. I basically just have to write the program that detects which camera has the most concentrated amount of diffracted infrared light
