Hi. I'm planning to do the quest, but I am not sure what equipment/inventory to use for the fights in the quest. What attack should I use? What prayers should I use?

 

 

 

My stats: 77 attack, 88 strength, 78 defence, 70 prayer, 73 ranged, 81 HP, 99 magic, 62 summoning.

 

 

 

I also have: A whip, slayer's staff, rune defender, neitz helm, rune platebody and legs, fremennik sea boots 2, barrows gloves, barrelchest anchor, and crystal bow 6/10.

The final fight is actually really easy. I think I brought like 8 sharks and 4 prayer potions and didn't even use half of that (I'm level 111 by the way). Just focus on killing the Banshee Mistress, even when the others start attacking you. Once you kill the Banshee Mistress, everything else will die too. While killing the Mistress, I think I used protect from magic or melee (don't remember which, but she attacks with both). Once the others start attacking you as well, switch to protect from range. The fight lasted no more than a few seconds for me.

Thanks, Trip. I am now wondering whether or not I should just do another slayer task so I can get 56 slayer for Path of Glouphrie. I don't think the 10 points I could have earned if I did the quest first would really make a difference.

 

 

 

I use Chaeldar for slayer by the way.

I did the quest, and I almost died at the end. Turns out that the Pollnivneach Dungeon made me lag out a few times. Also I was being stubborn and didn't pray range when the Insectoid Assassins started attacking, I just prayed mage. The Banshee Mistress was easy to kill though.

 

 

 

Time to do some more slaying and hopefully get that Slayer Helm soon. The points never go down as long as I don't spend them, correct? I sometimes might change a task and don't mind the 5 task penalty. I have been using Chaeldar for 48-57 slayer. I might keep using him/her/whatever it is.

No you don't lost the points unless u spend them, But if you do start over you're missing out on some awesome points at 10 and 50 tasks. What you can do thought to get the helm faster is use the master in canafis for task 1-9 and use the highest master you can for task number 10.

He's got it. Use Mazchna for tasks 1-4 and use Chaeldar for 5, then try not to Burthorpe any tasks, because you get bonus points for every 10 tasks, and even more bonus points for every 50th. :D

So points after the first 5 tasks and then bonus for 10th and 50th? Then it gives a 5 task penalty if you Turael it?

If you Turael the counter is set to 0.

 

That means the next 4 tasks will not give any points whatsoever and the bonus will take another 10 tasks (even if you used Turael on the 9th task).

Can I just Mazchna the next few tasks even though I just did 2 tasks with Chaeldar? Then from on after, can I use Chaeldar and Duradel (for bonus)?

I have done 14 tasks and received 165 points. My 10th task bonus was with Duradel and I received 75 points. Anyway, instead of waiting for the 50th task, could I just reset the counter by going to Turael and starting the 10 count over again? Would this be faster?

No, because you'd just need to do another 5 tasks before you get the bonus, and you'd miss out on the 50 task bonus. Don't worry, you get a bonus at every multiple of 10.

Yea, every 10 task. It is bonus points at EVERY 10th task.

 

 

 

So task 10 = bonus

 

Task 20 = bonus

 

Task 30 = bonus

 

Task 40 = Bonus

 

Task 50 = HUGE bonus

 

Then rinse and repeat.
