I have just finished buying all my equipment for a few trips to the aviansies...

Do I need to have completed any quests to be able to get to the Dungeon? I'm looking at maps and to go through the troll stronghold it appears that I need to have done a quest or two... Is there any other ways to get there?

Eadgars ruse is handy because it gives you quick access by unlocking the trollheim teleport. For entrance, you only need skill requirements to push the boulder or squeeze through the gap.

I know about the skill requirements... but do I have to have completed any quests to get there? I can't find a route where I don't need to do a quest.

you also need to have done death plateau to get climbing boots to climb over the rockslide to get to gwd.

I'm not sure which two quests are needed (without the telleport after beating Eadgars ruse), but you need to beat the first one, and start the second. On your first time up there will be a 'boss monster' from another quest, he can't harm you if you just range him from the spot you enter (much like fire giants in the waterfall dungeon).

I forgot about that also. The monster is from the troll stronghold quest, all you need to do is kill him one time then you can pass through there whenever you want.

So I need to complete Death Plateu and Troll Stronghold? Alright, thanks guys.

With troll stronghold you just need to kill that monster at the start of the quest then you can go to gwd.

If your serious about GWD do Eadgars ruse, it saves you a lot of walking, a inventory space as well as saves switching boots.

The tele saves a lot of time and with the tele-drop trick you could get a whole inventory filled with food or whatever you like.

Could be handy. ^^
