Imamonkey
In -Kent's guide to Summoning mastery!-, he states "Always plant Snapdragons! They make 1m+ per hour!. Always." Now I realize herb farming can be profitable as it is a method I use myself. I fail to see how Snapdragons make 1m+ an hour though? Am I missing something here? Or is this a misprint by the author? Thanks.
tripsis
I was actually wondering myself too. It must be a misprint because even if you get like 10 herbs from every patch (which won't happen), you still only make a profit of a few hundred thousand gp. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
DreamReaper
Bleh, I hate it when people say you get 1m in an hour of snap farming. You do get 1m and hour, but it's for an hour of work. Every run takes about 5 minutes so to get an hour's worth of work you need to make 20 runs. That's what is implied.

Back when I did the math, if you had lightning reflexes you should have made 1.6m/hour, but the market changed. :( You might not make as much cash as you did before, but it still is highly lucrative... Dreamreaper was right, I meant that an hour of work makes that much money, not 5 minutes out of an hour. Dreamreaper was right, I meant that an hour of work makes that much money, not 5 minutes out of an hour. 12 runs an hour is a little too fast if you ask me. I'm pretty sure I use the fastest method available that's still easy to use (no lunars and just a tbird), my fastest run is like just under 5 minutes but that was because 2 herbs died. It's more reasonable to say 10 runs/hour, including distractions/banking etc. An average snap run (6.7 herbs/seed) is 75k profit at the moment, so that would be 750k/hour. Both the herb and seed prices are high atm, so if you get lucky and have a few runs with no deaths and 40 herbs you'll make a lot more. Same goes for being unlucky, but that generally happens less often :D
Imamonkey
Thanks for clearing that up for me Kent. I felt like such a nub not understanding how you were making 1M an hour and I couldn't. Now I feel like one for not understanding how you meant it! I was just guessing your Snapdragons must have magical fairy dust on them or something! :P By the way, great guide. Peace out
