So I tried logging in today and I got a loading screen which took really long to load (50%-100%) and after the gamescreen finally appeared, the same happened when I was trying to access my bank. The items started appearing really slowly. So I restarted my computer and checked for updates but still no improvement. My laptop should handle rs smoothly and without any problems as it has been so far. I'm beginning to think that it has something to do with the new update but I'm not that computer literate.

There is no way that it is an issue with your computer hardware, my laptop with 1.73GHz 2GB DDR laptop ran RSHD fine, I could even listen to music, load vids and browse Tip.it just fine, it might just be your internet, you may have gone over your months downloads and may have shaped internet, or maybe some programs are downloading updates which slow down your computer, check your computer for them incase it is. (I don't know how to, I'm Mac illiterate sorry.)

Thanks for your reply. I've checked for my internet activity and I'm only using 3 kb/s out of 1 mb/s available on my internet connection while on rs.

 

 

 

Just did a few speedchecks. Internet is running as fast as usual.

Try the usual: Reboot etc.

Lately Runescape has been dealing me ridiculous lag as well, and as with you it is not a hardware problem...

I just had a simmilar problem. Especially with the banking items. But one thing I noticed is when the RS browser is open it affects all my other pages. So I think its a Runescape problem

Try the usual: Reboot etc.

It seems so. I made the same thread on RSOF and apparently some are experiencing minor delay also. Hope it gets fixed :)

Weird. At home, rs runs fine, but at school, it lags hardcore, and the internet connection is faster at school. Whatever it is, I hope Jagex fixes it.
