killordie18
Well, since I've never really bothered to sink a whole bunch of money into either of these skills, I'm looking for someone who has =) I'm wondering how much exp you get and how much it costs to: - Do dragon bones in Yanille at gilded alter vs - Constructing whatever it is you construct at 50-60 construction to train 8-) Basically I want to know which of these skills is easier/faster/cheaper to train, so I can train that skill normally and use all my books of knowledge, genie lamps, quest rewards, etc. on the harder/slower/more expensive one. Anyone who has any idea and contributes is a superstar in my books. \ ^^ Spreadin' da wurd ^^I'm old skool baby ;) *looks at join date*Current amount of years playing Runescape: 5.5 On TIF:
transcript80
Well, prayer is more tedious, offering bones to the altar. Construction can be fairly fast, making oak larders with a butler. Usually, the cost of a skill are calculated ingp/xp, but I don't know the rates. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
C-J_Mulder
I recently bought 85-99 con = like 161.8k oak plank = 69.5m, +5-10m on butler. I make oak dungeon doors (lvl 74) and its roughly 3k planks an hour... 180k exp per hr prayer,I done before the ge..
Zaaps1
If you are already 50-60, you've already taken a majority of the benefits of the skill, and little remains to be taken advantage of. So my advice would be to get 70 prayer first, then think about construction. Unless you have money to spend, like I did, and got myself my own Gilded Altar first. You SHOULD try to do this in the long run, since you save tons of time. If you're going to get 70 prayer and 69 construction ANYWAY, why not get 69 Construction first so you can build a Gilded Altar? This way you can use your own altar, which is faster than using someone else's. ~It's Super Effective! ultimatballr
I am doing prayer now, I have yet to calculate the exp rates but somewhere in the region of 250k+ exp/hour on my own alter is what I am looking at. Umm, cost wise, I would say con is more expensive but only by about 14m. CJ said it cost him 69.5m + 5-10m which is about 74-79.5m, 85-99 prayer is costing me 60m in dragon bones. So you can do that math. 54-69 con + guilded alter + teak shelves (for the lvl 3 tea you will need to make the alter) cost me a grand total of about 6-7m just so you can so you have an idea. (The Alter was like 1.2m itself) Apparently, my signature was to big.
RayOxide
I know 60 is different from 70, but I got 60 prayer and barely ever use chivalry. I dont find either worth it. Imo 55 is all you need for con, which is 53 with tea. And 70 for prayer basically (imo) ONLY if you do clan events. I dont need a siggy no moar. cat666
Construction really loses it's usfulness at the 70-75 mark. Dungeons are rarely used as they have little use other than fun. Prayer however gains in usfulness, more points per prayer pot dose, and longer prayer. Plus it adds to your combat level which is what the vast majority of players consider to be the gauge on how good you are. The cape looks awesome too. My vote would be prayer. Trust the Gene Genie! cat666
fun. Do con then, runescape was made for fun. Depends on what you class as fun. I don't class POH's fun. I'd rather be out skilling. Trust the Gene Genie!

I guess. I rather be able to have bigger and better house parties than let piety last 20 seconds longer though, plus there's always ppots to increase the "fun" of prayer. ~It's Super Effective!
