Any advice on how to get 68-75 crafting?

I am looking to get 75 crafting. I was planning on doing yak hides because this is the cheapest way to go. (I am cheap :D ) And the bodies or legs both alch for 300 ea., so I would make money doing them even if I bought the hides. But is this the best way? I would appreciate any advice.

You could always use make glass, then either sell the molten glass for more supplies or create orbs and make battle staffs.

 

You can actually make a fair bit of money doing this, plus you get your magic exp.

Buying the yak hides or getting them yourself? If you buy them and alch you end up losing gp. If you wanna be even cheaper get the SC needle and it would make you need less hides.

My advice is Superglass make>orbs. I think it is about 2 gp per exp. I can cast the spell around 700 times/hour which is 9100+ glass (bonus of 0-9 for casting the spell. After casting the spell I can craft arounf 1700 orbs/hour. You do lose gold but not that much.

 

 

 

Also I did my calculations several weeks ago so the prices may be off.

You said you were cheap so I think you'd probably like to make cash instead of spending it. I have level 80 crafting, over 2 mil exp all from bowstrings. Making bowstrings makes good money, and while it is slow exp I think the money makes up for it.

 

 

 

For example, right now you can buy flax for 90 gp on GE. Spin it and you sell it for 195 on GE. That is more than doubling up, and you can do 750+ an hour. Personally I think this is the way to go.

Yeah that is with buying everything on the GE minus air runes as you should be using an air staff.

 

 

 

Though as the poster above said bowstrings makes more money my method averages (1 hour casting/1 hour blowing glass) to about 60k/hour while spinning bowstrings nets you about 11k/hour.

 

 

 

In my opinion, being able to make 100k/h easily, spinning bowstrings is not worth your time. It is great for lower levels but 100k at moderate levels is not difficult.

 

 

 

And one last thing, make sure to buy as many battlestaves FROM ZAFF as you can everyday. Buying them from Zaff, buying the air orbs and nature runes from the GE, crafting, and alching them grants you decent crafting and magic experience for about 10 minutes/day worth of work. +profit

I do take some liberties in the above numbers but have been able to sell the majority of the orbs I make at medium-high price. I am now 200k from 90 and went from 86-88 in about 6 hours
