darator Posted January 31, 2009 Share Posted January 31, 2009 Am I the only one who find the new trading system of runescape look alot like the communist system to controle the price of all goods. there now is a auction house, and with it, you cant go higher than a certain price for the items you sell, and you cant go lower an other price. also when trading between persons, you have to trade for (near) equal value. Now, I could be mistaken, but that sure sounds alot like communism to me! the next thing they'l do, is remove all levels, every way to PvP (woops already did that once) and rename it to Karlmarxkape. That's a standard EULA with digital information. Technically, a rental company owns each piece of equipment, but that's not communist; it's the standard modulus operandi. By the same logic, Jagex has the rights to their digital property; we're paying to rent it. Besides that, it's referring to collectivism, which this certainly isn't a case of. The system that was implemented isn't anywhere near Communism; one could even argue that with the Grand Exchange, it's the technical equivalent of opening World 2 to everyone at the same time. If they ignore what we like, then we won't give them what they like: which is, as you said, money. Anyway, Jagex is NOT communist what-so-ever. They are more of an early 18th century constitutional monarchy by definition; with the CEO at the top (kept in check by the executive and supervisory boards, distinguishing it from an absolute monarchy), and customer support and janitorial staff at the bottom.
