Problem with the Home Desktop Computer

Ouchy

Recommended Posts

All right, there seems to be a bit of a problem with the Home Computer at the moment. It keeps un-expectedly turning off, without any warning, authorisation, or anything else. The problem tends to happen when my sister is on the computer. She usually goes onto a site called "Habbo Hotel", which is an Online game, much like RuneScape.

The computer is a Compaq Pressario SR5260AN Desktop PC, and is little under a year old.

Any ideas how this might happen? And how to fix it?

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.

To me it looks like an overheating issue, check if you have a lot of dust when you open the case, especially in the cpu heatsink and videocard fan. If you do have a fair bit of dust, it can be the problem and you would need a compressed air can to get that out of there :).

Does anything happen when you go on it Ouchy?

I don't use it, I use my Laptop.

But the problem seems to have stopped now, so I don't know what happened. I'm guessing over heating.

Another issue. On start up and other various times, the fan starts to spin violently, and the RAM is going up to 100 %. Any reason why this could happen?

The only times I've seen this is when there were viruses on my friend's computer. I guess you should do scans :S.

Remember that I can be wrong though, should wait to see if someone has more posibilities to offer.

When the computer was stuffing up due to the heat earlier, I booted it in Safe Mode and scanned it, and I returned nothing bad. Then again, Trend Micro does suck...so go figure.
