Is there a suitable place you could put a blog pertaining to anything but (alright not anything, mostly writing and art) your RuneScape character? I've been thinking about this for some time and it seems to me that while we don't have a specific area, would it be accepted in BlogScape, or would you have to have two different topics, one in the Varrock Library and one in the Gallery?

I don't know, this is something to think about, perhaps add something to Varrock/Falador/Gallery for this sort of thing, in fact the Falador Library might be a really good place to put this sort of thing...

Interesting idea. I would think it would be accepted in blogscape, but I can't say for sure.

You're right that a writing blog would probably belong in the Varrock Library and an art blog would probably belong in The Gallery. You'd have to give us more specific details regarding the blogs to be 100% sure, but that would probably be the case.

If you are a prolific writer then I would recommend posting in Varrock Library a summery of your work which could include the highlights of your artistic career.

If you are a prolific artist then I would recommend posting in the Gallery and maybe some highlights of writing.

If of course you are a bit of both and don't feel you excel at either then you best bet would be to do two seperate ones and link them.

I sort of see where you are going with with the Falador Library idea, but Falador is for roleplaying not for posting a blog...it is difficult because there currently isn't a service to cater for that, but at the same time Devart does, so is there alot of people who would want to use a Tip It version?

The obvouis problem with implementing it is that there are only 20 or so topics on the front page, so if alot of people used it there would only be very active writers on the front page, while the one time wonders would be pushed to the back.

I would recommend:

Sticking to Devart/Facebook or another of those types of site.

Creating two or three threads on Varrock, Gallery and Falador and link them together, and/or linking them in your sig.

Getting a petition together and presenting it to the assembed mods :D .

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Sorry to hijack, I'm not sure if this is even allowed, but is it against the rules to post a weight loss, or progress blog?

I think i recall someone posting somesort of weightloss blog in OT some time ago, although it may have just been a before and after comparison.

I'm not saying you shouldnt, but you should be wary of replies; dont post a weight loss blog in which you dont even try to lose weight,

Yeah technically you can post such a blog in Off-Topic, but I wouldn't recommend doing so unless it's very detailed and you set a good platform for a discussion.

Alright thanks, I really want to go about doing this, but I know I couldn't do it alone, taking the time to set up the format and such, I'd love if someone would like to help me, I really would appreciate it, I am serious about loosing weight too, I'm not someone who tries something for 3 days and then stops. Especially with the support of some tip.it members.

If anyone is interested in helping me, or even giving me ideas, please PM Me!

I'm bumping this because I've got a new question. I've come back to this and read the BlogScape rules, (viewtopic.php?f=98&t=489621) and it says specifically

Topics that belong on BlogScape:

-Threads that chronicle daily/weekly RuneScape happenings

-Threads narrating one's path towards a certain goal/achievement

-Boss monster trips/stories (KBD, KQ, DQ's, etc.), may it be with groups or alone

-Routine Mini-Game (Pest Control, Fight Caves, Castle Wars, etc.) experiences, diaries and rewards

-Barrows reward logs (sticky)

-Monster drop logs (sticky)

-Open house/House Party announcements (sticky)

Topics that belong on other boards:

-Real life stories (Off Topic)

-Poetic and literary works (Varrock Library)

-PKing topics (Wilderness boards)

-One-liner/brief "I got a level", "I finally reached my goal", etc. posts (Rate This*)

But nothing about art. I'm fairly sure no one would care, so I'll make one in BlogScape, I'm just wondering about the future.

archimage_a said something about the Gallery for art. If it's for your art, I would think you'd post in the Gallery. If it's a blog about your art, probably Off-Topic.

A blog about art would most certainly belong in The Gallery. BlogScape is for RuneScape-related blogs only.
