February 11, 200917 yr My older sister Liz was in the Scripps Spelling bee... at city level. When she found out she was going to get to participate she started freaking out, terrified she'd win because she knew my family couldn't afford to go with her to DC. ("But what if I WIN???") She had nothing to worry about, she did last 4 rounds but that was it. - - - - In 5th grade I went to the county Spelling Bee and got 3rd place, and then I got 2nd place in my middle school for qualifiers, but the 1st place person (my good friend Megan), picked someone else to go in her place. Which still annoys me, and I still bring up at least once a year. I wanted a chance to redeem myself for 5th grade's measly 3rd place. :oops:

His winning word was guerdon. February 13, 200917 yr I would always participate in spelling bee's when I was in elementary school, and I would make it to the second competition, but then lose on like the first word everytime. February 14, 200917 yr i always ended up getting into the school spelling bee, and i'd always be really nervice. and if i got an easy word when i was expecting a hard word, i'd say it too fast, and screw it up. but im too old to be in any spelling bees now.
