February 10, 200917 yr Right, I have a pretty old TV (ca. 1995) that has a weird problem with consoles. Both my Xbox 360 and Gamecube have a weird problem where the display switches back and forth between colour and black and white. Sometimes for less than a second, sometimes for minutes at a time. The DVD player that's hooked up to the same scart port through the same converter does not have this problem. Both consoles are PAL, for what it's worth. February 10, 200917 yr Author Like I said, a scart port. I run the consoles' component cable through a scart converter like this one. February 10, 200917 yr Have you tried it with other TV's and do they work? It might be a MHz problem, have you configured the right one for your tv? (60, 75 etc)
February 11, 200917 yr Author Yeah, I've already tried changing the refresh rate. The problem doesn't appear on other TVs. However, like I said, my DVD player hooked up to the same port doesn't have any problems showing colour.
