February 13, 200917 yr I know it's been asked before but can I get a quick answer on rune scimmy verse longsword to train attack to 60 or 70 for next level. Recomended training spots for each weapon type apprietiated.
February 13, 200917 yr Really I don't see the point in choosing the weapon for the training spot unless you're at waterfiends. Just train wherever you want and use the cheapest weapon.
February 13, 200917 yr They are both slashed based, and scimitar is better. Very few monsters have different defenses that warrant a different style, and certainly not ones used for fast training. quit
February 13, 200917 yr The scimitar and the longsword are both good weapons. The scimmy is a little faster, but I isn't a great difference. Just try it yourself.

February 13, 200917 yr Scimitar> longsword unless you're fighting metal dragons, in which case the longsword's good stab attack makes it slightly better. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
February 13, 200917 yr Scimitar is better in every way. More damage per minute = more XP and drops, period. I agree. Dragon Scimitar requires a Quest, a long Quest. Most of the time that means it is better, because you need to work harder at it. It does hit a lot faster, and I recommend you using it. They are the same price. Good luck. :P
