Random events

Featured Replies

we all know and have experianced the odd rock golom, tree spirit or watchman apearing while training a skill, the events level is based up on our combat levels.

I thought it would be much more fair (or at least fun) if the event was based on your level of the skill that monster represents

i.e.

lvl 3 miner with 87 mining in mining guild, mining away when....

a level 120 rock golom apears thus one hitting him

Maybe this idea isnt the greatest but it would add more spice to random events and hopefully disuade autoing and afking

What? lvl 3 combat's getting lvl 120 golems? That's not fun or spicy at all. It's virtually unfair to them, mining with their hearts racing and wondering if a golem will appear and kill them in one hit.

And random events supposbly preventing autoing, because for one, if you don't respond to a random you either die or get teleported to a alternate location. The location prevents autoing because you'll have nothing to auto on at that location.

lv3 miners should get lv 999999999999999999999999999999999 golems

while lv 100+ gets a lv 3 golem

Random events aren't supposed to kill anyone in one hit. That's a stupid idea.

Besides, high level combat characters wouldn't need to worry about random events at all when training non-combat skills. Another way to make autoing a little easier for cheaters...

lol! how funny would that be suddenyl a lvl 120 rock golems appears and one hits a miner! hilarious! lol

might not be the greatest idea i ever heard but you certainly made my day

I don't think this is the best idea..JAGeX have already done a decent job on how high level the random events will be in comparison to your level. It is strong enough to kill you but not instantly. A player getting killed instantly would be pretty annoying.

its not fair.

if ur combat is high ,mining low.

eg. lvl 126 mining 1

then the golems lvl will become like....3?

then it will become..

high level ppl eager to get a rock golem to kill...

let me guess. you have just seen a lvl 3 miner pure wearing a red partyhat and thought: "jeez, it would be cool if a lvl 120 rock golem showed up next to HIM instead of me" and just because of that you go mindlessly wasting the webspace of tip.it.

please never post here again, your post is hurting my eyes

Not a good idea. I actually think the levels of fightable random events are very well balanced.

Thats not a bad thing, a level 3 getting 120's is hillarious, and a good way to kill off noobs.

So you're saying that it'd be better for cheating to continue and newer players to die needlessly?

That's just plain silly. A level 3 is not necessarily a noob, and if you treat a level 3 with no respect, OR you make random events that own them, you only create more noobliness.
