Soul wars, an awesome way to get range exp -updated-

Featured Replies

thing i hate about training range only through soul wars is that your missing out on hitpoints xp which makes you a "soul" product in my opinion, but still good way to train range in a non boring way for those who have trouble training in 1 location for too long

The plain fact is that Soul wars offers bad experience per hour. Even if you were to win the maximum zeal per hour (7.2, but that is very unlikely anyway, because of skips), you would still find this slower than regular training. Soul wars offers about 45k experience per hour in the melee skills, something that is almost doubled at armored zombies alone.

My initial calculations proved that Soul wars was slightly faster than PC, which was stunning as you can imagine. However, those calculations were based on theory and not experimentation. My real results proved that I had not taken into account skippings and the 3 minute post game rest period. My initial calcuations proved far off, and I came out with a real value much lower than first theorized.

compfreak847 is partly right and you are ignorant for denying the cold hard facts. Indeed soul wars is bad exp. compfreak847 claims, however, that certain high leveled methods are three times faster (such as armored zombies). This is false... armored zombies are only twice as good (if they were three times as good it would mean armored zombies would have to be 135k exp per hour!).

By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .

He's talking about range xp, not melee.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Notice, if you will, the word "range" located in the upper corner of the title bar. Notice, too, my calculations indication a combination of Avansies and Chinchompas far superior in HP and Range XP then SW ever will be.
