Always use the best logs you can burn and that includes the ones you give the people who are watching the beacons for you. Also, load all the beacons first...don't start lighting until they've all been filled.

Rather than going in a straight line, do the ones that are nearest to teleports first and the hardest ones to reach last...why? Because if you have to go back to relight, you can easily access the ones close to teleport locations with more logs. Carry as many logs with you as you can when going around to light (to give to the beacon watchers). Make sure you've "unlocked" them, too.

Possible teleports include: Ring of Dueling (Castle Wars is a one click bank and not far from a balloon you can use to reach some of the far east beacons and Fist of Guthix is near THREE beacons), Amulet of Glory (Edgeville), Goblin Village Sphere, Necklace of Games, and runes for Trollheim.

Use your best 'beast of burden' familiar, preferably one with a "run" scroll of some kind, and use the pools at Oo'glog first.

Not to flame or anything, but isn't it kind of hard to give good advice on something you have not done. I am very curious myself. The things you have mentioned I think most of us who have not done the whole course already know. Maybe hear from someone that has actually done it. And tell us things like, did you find magic logs necessary? Were maple or yew good enough? Did you have any problems with beacons going out?

Edit: By the way, I did do the first six. I just used a few energy potions and carried the logs with me. I used oak. Did not use any kind of beast of burden. I know I didn't give person at the sixth beacon logs, what would be the point? I succeded. So I don't know about the whole course, but it is just that easy to do the first six. And I just did them in order with no teleports.

Double edit: Then again, exactly what are you wanting to know OP? I see you can only do the first nine. Have you attempted it at all. Do you want to know just about the first nine? Are you looking for details on how someone that has done the whole course went about accomplishing that. One sentence questions on things like these leave it up to the people wanting to help having to read a lot into it to figure out exactly what it is you want.

I explained earlier how I did the first six. Not much to it. Now with nine the same might work but you might have to go to maple? Oak might work with a terrorbird on nine? I haven't tried more than the first six myself. But seeing as how I did the first six successfully I wouldn't think three more would be much harder than that?

Still in my opinion, you leave a lot to the imagination for the reader as to exactly what information you are wanting?

I've done as many as I can do and I use this method to train firemaking...as dry runs for the full thing.

I don't think it's necessary to have done the whole thing to have a good plan.

For example, I said, "use the best logs you can" which would mean whichever he's able to use or has on hand. He's looking to make it efficient and wanted to know the correct teleports.

Again, there are plenty of guides out there that go into more depth, but he or she could have looked for them and instead posted here. I was helping this person with a short answer and a strategy...which is exactly what was asked for.

I suppose some people post when they don't know what they're talking about, but I've never had a problem with beacons going out. If he or she specifically asked for help on lighting all of the beacons, I wouldn't have posted, because I can't light them all yet. What I provided was a good strategy, I think, at any level of firemaking.

Also HQ's and runescape wiki's guides mention burning times for the logs.

This guide makes it overlly complicated. From my reply to this guide:

My tactics.

Go through the beacons once to get a feel for where they are. Add logs to each. The first 2 mages, second 2 yews and the rest maples. Fix all entry points and satisfy the attendants.

Then I split the actual lighting into 3 runs all with Terrorbird and Scrolls. Pools will work also. Pay the attendants.

Wear lightest gear you can with glory and duelling ring (in case of mistakes)

RUN 1:

Start Canifis

10 mages

10 yews

Varrock Teleport

10 Maples (In Familiar)

1 River Salve

2 Rag and Bone Man

Tele to Varrock

3. Jolly Boar

4. North of Varrock Castle

5. North of GE

6. Edgeville

RUN 2:

Start Edgeville

Catspeak Amulet

15 Maples

Games Necklace

Falador Tele

Trollheim Tele

10 Maples (In Familiar)

This one is a bit slower.

7. Monastery

Tele to Falador

8. Goblin Village

Games Necklace

9. Burthorpe

Tele Trollheim

10. Trollheim Shortcut

11. Death Plateau (Accessed from Wildy, run South from Trollheim shortcut.)

RUN 3:

Start Edgeville or Castle Wars

Super Restore x 2 (depends on your stats, maybe 3)

5 Maples

Tele to Trollheim

Tele to Trollheim

12. GWD (You will probably need a Super Restore to light the beacon as the ice effect drains your stats)

13. Temple in Wildy

14. Ice Plateau (Before you get to the ice giants and spiders and other nasty things protect from melee, may need a super restore)

I easily did it this way, including a huge mess up where I took super energy and not super restores. I still had time to glory to Edge, get the correct pots, and continue from beacon 12. No warning messages at all, so seriously don't worry about going back to the first few, mages will suffice.

All in all I think this way is pretty cheap and accessible to most. I could have faffed around with Goblin Spheres, Mind Tele and Lunar Tele/Ice Tele but its not really worth it if you can suffice with just a glory and a standard teleport spells.

To add to this, I lost my Inferno Adze (used it during Summer's End, what a pleb!) so had to do it again.

This time I just used maples and the method above (went around filling beacons first, gave logs to the attendants) and all 14 lit without hassle. However I advise you do use mages for the first 2 and yews for the next 2 for your first try, buys you that little extra time.

My personal setup when getting inferno Adeze was:

First and foremost to fill each beacon with yew logs in preparation.

Then I had the following inventory:

Tinderbox

Varrock teleport (runes or tabs) x 2

Goblin Village Moving Over Distance Sphere

Games Necklace

Trollheim Teleport x2

Method:

1) Have a swim in o'glog slat water pool for infinite run

2) Teleport to Varrock then run out of the east gate lighting the Rag n Boneman beacon and Salve beacon as you pass them.

3) Teleport Back to Varrock. Jump the widly ditch and light the beacon just north of the lumberyard, then head west lighting the one north of varrock north gate and continue to the one north of the ge.

4) Hop back over the ditch and continue to run into edgeville and light than beacon

5) Run around Oziachs house and down through the monstary to get onto ice mountain and light that beacon

6) Rub games necklace to jump around the corner to the games room. Then head up the ladder to the east to reach the burthorpe beacon

6) Break your moving over distance sphere. Run up the steps and light that beacon

7) Teleport to trollheim and climb down the mountain and up into the wilderness shortcut. Light the beacon at the end of this before climbing down into the wildy and running south to the beacon east of death plateau to light that.

8) Trollheim teleport again. This time we head up into the godwars area, throw protect from melee on as you pass the wolves. Head straight through the wilderness exit, light the beacon at the end of here.

9) Climb down into the wildy and head north to reach the beacon jsut north of the small temple at the edge of the frozen plateau.

10) Continue north through the wildy fence to the last beacon

11) Once finished either run south to the telepad near the KBD lair or head east to the mage bank tog et out of deep widly

Yew logs burn for around 20mins of their own accord. This run will take you well under 15 mins (I still had infinite run for aaaaagggges after I finished and that only lasts 15mins)
